Jennings, Waylon - Today I Started Loving You Again Lyrics

Today I started loving you again
I'm right back where I've really always been
I got over you just long enough to let my heartaches mend
And today I started loving you again.

What a fool I was to think I could get by
With only these few million tears I cried
I should have known the worst was yet to come
And that crying time for me had just begun.

Oh, today I started loving you again
I'm right back where I've really always been
I got over you just long enough to let my heartaches mend
And today I started loving you again.

I got over you just long enough to let my heartaches mend
And today I started loving you again...

Gail Lavoie merveilleux la magie fonctionne encore heureuse pour vous deux

  25. L.... T....

Ah yes, but it was WRITTEN by the Hag! I love them both equally. Too bad the drugs ruined Waylon's so he left too early!

    L.... T....

He did do drugs but had kicked them prior to death. He died from complications of diabetes.

  26. c.... o....

    waylons version is best

    c.... o....

+charlie oneill Come on, Waylon is an all-time great, but that is like claiming that Haggard's version of Lovesick Blues was better than Hank Williams'. You may prefer Waylon's version, but there is no doubt that this is Haggard's song and will always be.

    c.... o....

Hi Adam I agree, but my Version is up there !!, Check it out All the Best ~ Arthur

    c.... o....

Une voix En or j'adore super belles paroles il chante avec toute la sensibilité qu'on lui connaît

    c.... o....

Waylon s version is best in my book

    c.... o....

    I agree!!! Waylon #1

  27. M.... P....

The music backing Waylon is superb, just love it. I'm waltzing around the room.

  28. M.... P....

Love Waylon's version but Merle and Bonnie did it their way. If you love country you will appreciate either one and if not for You Tube I would never have the pleasure of listening to these great artists.

  29. G.... L....

Waylon and the Hag's rivalry goes back to Hag's failed attempts to lure Ralph Mooney back to Bakersfield.'Eat yer heart out, Haggard'. Waylon's version of Cash's best song, 'I Walk The Line' was genius. This, Hag's finest song, is an overbusy, over-produced mess with far too much going on to a simple, beautiful tune. Sorry Waylon.

  30. P.... G....

Oh Yeah! Waylon ALWAYS does it best!!!

    P.... G....

+Pansye Gibbs - that's what all the girls say!

    P.... G....

@Lionel Ducote Nope> Merle wins hands down

  31. J.... a....

its only a matter of opinion-------Waylon is up there beside Jones and Haggard---but its really best when Merle and Bonnie did it----

  32. w.... ....

Waylon   does a good cover of  the Hag's big hit however no on matches the hag's original

Waylon Jennings Made The World A Better Place! Yes He Did"

  41. S.... ....

Merle Haggard wrote it. Merle Haggard was the first to record it in 1968. It was the flip side to "THE BALLAD OF BONNIE AND CLYDE".

  42. j.... s....

georrge jones did the original, terrifying prat as a person, but a great country singer, george jones that is, waylon is a different class and always has been

  43. c.... ....

Yes indeed by only pickin' and a grinin' he may have saved the world

  50. A.... H....

I love Waylon but I don't like this version of the song.

  51. B.... H....

    YO All,

Merle Haggard wrote and recorded many songs, but this one is a favorite for many of us. It's a great playing and singing song with a pretty melody and simple chords.

  52. B.... H....

    Waylon didn't like Haggard!

He thought he was a "mean son of a bitch"!

  53. W.... B....

    Waylon was great

  54. 6.... ....

    He Sure Did!!!!!!

  55. 6.... ....

    @drrex41591

When i was a kid i heard Waylon crank out "The bottle let me down" every day. It took until i was in my teens to know that it was a hit for Merle. I love MH but Waylon kicked ass on that song.

  63. s.... ....

    @RebeccaannWood well said lady

  64. B.... W....

Thanks for posting this! I love Waylon and Merle both.

  65. 1.... ....

A good song is always good, and this one has been recorded by so many good artists. But MY favourite version is the one with John Fogerty and The Blue Ridge Mountain Boys!

  66. L.... C....

This song was written by Merle Haggard.

  67. j.... ....

    Waylon we miss you...

  68. j.... c....

This is one of my favourite songs, and I've heard so many versions, I love Waylon to the point of idolatry, but I think Merle did this better.

  69. d.... ....
