Jenkins, Katherine - Land Of My Fathers Lyrics
Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi,
Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri;
Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr tra mad,
Dros ryddid collasant eu gwaed.
Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad.
Tra môr yn fur i'r bur hoff bau,
O bydded i'r hen iaith barhau.
Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi,
Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri;
Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr tra mad,
Dros ryddid collasant eu gwaed.
[Chorus x2]
O bydded i'r hen iaith barhau.

Jenkins, Katherine Land Of My Fathers Comments
Oh what I would give to visit Wales
I was born shortly after WWII in the East End of London, and my junior school teacher was Welsh and taught us several Welsh anthems in Welsh most of those I forgot. I loved the sound of the Welsh Language from those anthems. By my late twenties I was living on the edge of the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, that borders South East Wales, and 5-6 years late I was living in North East Wales that has become my adopted homeland. My children were brought up in Wales, and their children born and brought up in Wales. I defy anybody to not find the Welsh National Anthem moving especially when sung in Welsh. The Welsh are a very proud nation and long may it continue.
God bless the Welsh!
3 years since I moved from Wales, Im sitting in my office in the dark in America sobbing while listening to this <3
