Why do people hate this song... your question... I think I have an answer to that after many many many years later of snorting coke and doing meth and drinking alcohol or dropping acid which I'm sure there's still a few out there that like to guess now and then oh, they don't like the song because it's evolving and they have to grow up. I mean they don't have to they just are. They are evolving . I mean look at the difference between the album with guns and roses Appetite for Destruction and then the next biggie. Extended With lies,lies,lies what four songs on them and then here come double record all kinds of music from all over the place . . Did anybody else particularly care for the Spaghetti Incident ? they really had was the double album look how long those the power ballads were those two albums were my day and night Appetite for Destruction, and lose your Illusion 1 and 2 and then you got the third one squeezed in there called The Spaghetti Incident which is just old songs. Not so great. But I bought the music anyway simply because that's who they are. because they're trying to keep everything else quiet well they did the good stuff. But anyway this is about Starship and I believe the same thing. It's because their music is changed.
They are always going to be great and the lines of History and someone in the Next Generation is really going to dig them. So snap to them and my Guns N Roses. Good luck everybody

I'm in this video... I'm the one wearing that pink dress (looks red here) 02:36 . They wanted me to pull off a Linda Ronstadt from her What's New album, not knowing they were gonna do an entire Las Vegas scene. I was with San Francisco music photographer Randy Bachman, sweetest guy on the planet, may he RIP. I can't recall the blonde ladies name. But, that was an interesting shoot. Lots of real homeless kids were used. The staff kept them fed all night long! So my childhood was in the 80's into the 90's....(born in the 70's).....so yeah this song brings back memories....very good ones, yet sad now all these years later because things were a bit happier. now there's adult responsibilities, health issues, etc.....to be young again.

What some listeners may not know about this song unless they remember back in the day, many major US cities had their own unique mix for this song in lieu of the default San Fransisco version. For instance New York would have a sound clip from a New York rock station play, Denver would have a clip from a Denver rock station, etc. Depending on where you lived you would hear a version that corresponded to your city played on the radio.
