Jefferson Starship - Find Your Way Back Lyrics
You know, it's been a long, long road
Since I packed up and left on my own
And I carry a heavy load
Just trying get back to her heart
I seem to find love where I ramble
And when it's time to go
I hear that voice again, saying
Find your way back
Find your way back to her heart
Find your way back
Find your way back to her heart
Leave a message with the rain
The snow across the pain
And the frost upon the heart
(You got no place to be
Still you wonder where you're going)
And why I had to leave
I hear a voice, it says to me
Find your way back
Find your way back to her heart
Find your way back
Find your way back to her heart
To her heart
C'mon
I know it's too late now
But, I wish I could go back in time
And start all over somehow
And get it right from the start
Find your way back
Find your way back to her heart
Find your way back
Find your way back to her heart
Find your way back (find your way back)
Find your way back
Find your way back (find your way back)
Find your way back
Find your way back (find your way back)
Find your way back
Find your way back (find your way back)
Find your way back

Mickey Thomas what a fabulous vocalist along with Grace Slick wish I could go back in time
80's ROCK ON!!
😏 My boyfriend told me to turn this song off. *I found a new boyfriend*
Mtv was Awsome when it started in August of 1981 , i was a young guy of 20. The videos and music were great.then the 90s came and it was the end of good music and videos.
Needs more guitars, lol.
Rocking in 2020 still...
Aynsley Dunbar is the MAN on drums!
Find your way back to better days.
What a truly remarkable band he started out as Jefferson Airplane then they change it to Jefferson Starship and now just Starship
Anyone still watching this masterpiece in 2020?! HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎉🎊😊
Although I didn't appreciate JS's musical directions at times, the vocals were always incredible. And I did always like this song. It still rocks!🎼👍
Mickey and band never made it as big as Journey but in way's Mickey can out do Steve Perry and did.
i give thnxs i lived this era above my generation..i'm missing out on nothing on this new era of so called rock-n-roll..these guys sang it raw..no cell phones..we danced our asses of at their concerts...xoxo
Such an underrated song 🎤🎸🎶
GAWD they had badly sold out back then, Having been a Jefferson Airplane / Jefferson Starship fan for many years with the Slick / Kantner years, this seemed way out of step with the sound I grew up with. Go listen to "Blows Against The Empire / Red Octopus / Dragonfly / and
Spitfire." You will understand what I mean.
The rock and roll Starship (formerly an airplane), just good old fashioned Rock, not ALTERNATIVE, NOT PROGRESSIVE, NOT DISCO, nothing but ROCK!
until they went to Starship, and Built this City....ugh
Could use a few more guitars♡♡♡♡NICE..
Listen closely to the intro instrumental here...and then please tell me why Fastball didn’t have to pay royalties to JS for “Fire Escape.”
Did not know Burton Cummings sang with the Starship..LOL!
Aynsley Dunbar was a way better drummer than those who followed him in Starship who often overplayed the Starship songs. Aynsley is a great rock drummer. Very underrated.
Love Jefferson Starship/ Starship/ Jefferson Airplane whatever the title simply GREAT music.
They have a deceptive inventory.....like Styx....growing up, you never thought lot about it...but then... now older...."DAMN....they had so many great songs".
Any one else hear the click track @ 1:32 ? Rick Beato made me do it...
Awesome song here !!!!
Cameraperson shouldve been fired. Not nearly enough Grace Slick.
More cow bell.
I wish he and Elvin Bishop had more tunes together.
Grace Slick. So lovely. Even though she's on acid
A week and we go..Tom.
What a kick. Ass. Song. And the guitar. Man. Oh. Man. I live in. The. 80s. First concert was poison
How come Starship hasn't been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet?
They're so good!
Saw these guys in '82. Sounded better live than the record. Mickey Thomas voice is very underrated
I love this.
"Wish I could go back in time"
one of the best rock songs ever, still to this day. what is there currently?
This is Starship's Boston impression.
Aynsley♥️♥️
I remember listening to this pumping though some Bose 901's powered by a 400 watt Pioneer Amp in my buddy's house... pretty close to full volume, house was shaking, neighbor's house was shaking and we were rock'n hard!
This song cranks
Grace Slick looks Great !! She's been around , but still looks hot !
This song absolutely saved my life 4 years ago. Staying at homeless shelter in columbus ga. A guy there had a speaker and i was just trying to think of obscure positivemusic and this one came from the holy spirit!! Saved my life. Seriously. Here again today because i need a boost!!!
B.C. Rich Biches and double neck Carvins? Hell Yeah! Help me find my way back to their music store!
2019. Still NOTHING touches the 70's and 80's.
.Jefferson Airplane,Yesh Find the world x places if a way. Day ~ Night T - Time ☢ . 🦄
I don’t know why Grace doesn’t have a bigger role in this video.
Really a strong song...almost forgot about this one
Mickey Thomas - One of the greatest falsetto-soprano-tenor rock voices in music history!
I had no idea Super Mario was in a band.
scott he is confused
jody laughs a bit bemused
ginnies names not fused
I'm back from Seattle I saw Public Market and the Space Needle
Hey Mickey!
I also forget this song from back in the 80s
a lost song 2 corporate classic rock station's redundant playlists, SAD!!
grandiosa cancion de encontre el camino y regreso con el maestraso jefferson y su grupo
had many crazy parties to this song back in the day!
mickey was the singer for elvin bishop
Early Walkman on 10 real loud by today's standards
I know it's too late now. says it all.
Alpha male music, they are not gender confused and will not cut their penis off!!!!!!!
I loved it then and I still love it now. The guitar Paul Kantner is playing in this video is one of the coolest guitars I've ever seen. I thought that then, and I still feel the same way all these years later. Back then, I didn't know anything about Jefferson Airplane. I was too young. I just saw this on MTV and knew this was what the older kids were into, so I thought it was super cool. I was only 11 at the time. lol
OH wow I forgot about this treasure, what a great song! I am sure that's Liverpool drummer Ansley Dunbar on drums in this video!
Tom the Jefferson Starship songs I know, this may be my favorite.
You’re missed, Paul.
What did Grace even do in this version of the band?
750 people couldn't find their way to their hearts.
I desperately need a blot of acid 👅
Man I hated that MIckey Thomas made Starship mainstream but looking back he had the voice that they needed at the time.
Who knew Stan Marsh's dad was in this band?
Happy 80th 😳 birthday Grace!
Only wish they hadn't added Grace back until the next album because she only sings bgv's on 3 tracks and co lead on Stranger with Mickey Thomas.. I loved this album but much more the previous " Freedom At Point Zero.. Excellent songwriting on that album indeed
SEEN THEM 6 TIMES MISS YOU GRACE
Makes me homesick for the Bay Area....but 35 years ago.
Not a huge Jefferson Starship fan overall, but this song is a masterpiece. I might have to listen to their whole catalog just to see if anything else compares to this.
Love listening to them
Love listening to them
Absolutely love this song
Always thought the singer of Jefferson Starship was Elvin Bishop for the longest. They sound close really close! Until I read a album sleeve one day!
They don't make 'em like this anymore- music and video alike!
My favorite starship song !!!!!!!!!!
I first heard of Mickey Thomas when he sang on Elvin Bishop's, "Fooled Around And Fell In Love"
Tune! Paramjit
I get the feeling the band would turn off Paul's amps and not tell him, that way he couldn't fuck up the song. And if he drew a picture they'd humor him and put it up on the fridge.
I seem to find love where I ramble....
Ainsley Dunbar: master of simple but musical parts.
wow this sucks!
Why do they hardly show Grace Slick in this video? It's almost it was done on purpose. Mickey Thomas has a good voice but Grace Slick is amazing as well!!
Great Fuq'in Band!!!
Many reincarnations,
Since the Jeff Plane area.
Ansley Dunbar on Drums,
Holy sheet! Lost to Mitch Mitchell
On a coin toss for the Jimi Hendrix
Exp, no biggie joined up with Ronnie wood, Rod the Mod and
One Jeff Beck right afterwards...
Just years after this he was contributing drums to David
Coverdale's White Snake EP
such a great tune....
Never understood what the video had to do with the song.
Grace Slick will be 80 years old in just a few days.
Holy crap! I did not fact check that but she looks all of 80. Just seeing it in print was scary. Can't find your way back from that.
I really love this song Mickey Thomas is from my home town I really love his voice 💜♥️💋
Debbie...we were almost neighbors...I grew up in Gordon Alabama...about 20 miles south of Dothan & about 60 miles west of Cairo Ga.
Much love from Mobile Alabama.
Let's face it, the guy's voice gave this band a new career in the 80s.
💥💥 I saw Mickey 2 summers ago and his voice is still booming
돌아오라 손석희
Mickey was great on this song!!
Great song! Thomas, what a voice!
손석희의 귀환을 축하하며....1988년 1월 연세대에서의 손석희를 기억하는 한 사람...
Wish I could find my way back home -Raylene Price
I love the part where Mickey turns around, triumphantly raises his fist and grabs the tambourine. Very funny.
Best times ever.
Fuck ing Awesome
John Oates breaks away from Daryl...
I remember this song and MTV absolutely love it it's one of my favorites if you agree with me give me a hoot y'all have a great morning and by all means God bless the 80s
Always such bad ass song!!
I saw them in 1985, had front row seats. I caught a guitar pick that Craig Chaquico flipped into the audience. I still have it. White with his name stamped on it. I remember showing it at school the next day and a lot of guys were jealous that a GIRL caught it. LOL!
All Rock music videos should have Marshall Stacks in them
