GAWD they had badly sold out back then, Having been a Jefferson Airplane / Jefferson Starship fan for many years with the Slick / Kantner years, this seemed way out of step with the sound I grew up with. Go listen to "Blows Against The Empire / Red Octopus / Dragonfly / and
Spitfire." You will understand what I mean.

Aynsley Dunbar was a way better drummer than those who followed him in Starship who often overplayed the Starship songs. Aynsley is a great rock drummer. Very underrated.

I loved it then and I still love it now. The guitar Paul Kantner is playing in this video is one of the coolest guitars I've ever seen. I thought that then, and I still feel the same way all these years later. Back then, I didn't know anything about Jefferson Airplane. I was too young. I just saw this on MTV and knew this was what the older kids were into, so I thought it was super cool. I was only 11 at the time. lol

I saw them in 1985, had front row seats. I caught a guitar pick that Craig Chaquico flipped into the audience. I still have it. White with his name stamped on it. I remember showing it at school the next day and a lot of guys were jealous that a GIRL caught it. LOL!
