This song is beautiful in that it is told by to perspectives. Ruby dealing with her the loss of her mother with lyrics like "I know you didn't plan this". Summer (Ruby's mother) with lyrics such as "I know I left you in a nightmare." It's almost a conversation between Ruby and Summer, as if Ruby chews out her mother out of frustration and Summer apologizing with the both of them acknowledging that it was neither of their faults for Summers death.

This song just reinforces the fact that there’s so much more going on with Ruby that has yet to be unveiled by the Writers and Ruby SERIOUSLY needs a big character arc, it’s slow and gradual and the deaths of both her friends should have opened much more development for her but I feel like it hasn’t given her justice yet. Volume 7 is so far promising with hints of more going on with Ruby thankfully, but even though the Atlas arc may be more about Weiss and the Schnees, Ruby might be in for a whole lot of trouble these upcoming volumes...

These lyrics are probably what gpes through ruby's head whenever she kneels at summer's grave

Remember in Ruby's first character how she smiled at the camera briefly while fighting grimm? I think that is meant to show her split personality. One moment, she is filled with rage and wanting to destroy all the grimm that probably took her mother from her and the next moment, she puts a smile on her face to hide her pain. I hope that CRWBY explore this at some point. I have a feeling that we might be on the way for her having another breakdown at the Fall of Beacon except this time, her friends and family will be there to see it. Maybe then we'd finally get a Ruby character arc and a Red Like Roses Part 3!
