This may seem like a reach for interpreting the meaning of this song since Janet has always been an open book in her music and lyrics,but I feel as though Janet wrote this song in a third-person perspective of her and Wissam's relationship. Since their divorce several sources including Randy (her brother) have stated that their marriage dissolved because of abuse (not physical most likely but probably more emotional and psychological abuse) and this song might be a window into what their relationship really was. I'm sure Janet wouldn't say this was the case since she's extremely private and guarded about her personal life,but that's just my own interpretation.
I have no idea how this happened, but I had another window open playing this song in youtube, one from the complete album and this single, both started playing, one overlapping the other, the timing was perfect...it sounded as one song. As it would be I couldn't repeat it again. Truly surreal.

I love this song because I can relate to it, but Broken Hearts, Night, Shoulda known betta, Take me away, 2 b loved and Black Eagle,,,I mean Jimmy, Terry and Janet carefully crafted this album like no other album they created with the exception of Rythm Nation that even her brother said it was a MASTERPIECE.
