Jane's Addiction - Mountain Song Lyrics

Comin' down the mountain
One of many children
Everybody has
Their own opinion
Everybody has
Their own opinion
Holding it back
Hurts so bad
Jumped out of my flesh
And i said
Cash in!
Cash in now honey
Cash in now
Cash in now
Cash in now honey
Cash in miss smith
Cash in now!
I was comin' down the mountain
Met a child she had pin eyes
We had the same opinion
Had the same opinion
She was holding it back
It hurts so bad
Jumping out of her flesh
And i said
Cash in!
Cash in now honey
Cash in now
Cash in now
Cash in now honey
Cash in miss smith
Cash in now!

I find it odd that women's nipples are censored but men's are not, even if it's a fat guy with man boobs.

  5. Warren Gonzalez

Wait. I always thought this song was from the 90s... not from 88. This has written 90s all over it. How come people think Nirvana killed Glam Metal? These guys had the 90s attitude before we even knew of Nirvana.

I remember the first time I listened to Nothing's Shocking. At the time, nothing like it had ever been done. I was blown away and it was the only album I wanted to listen to for a very long time. I ended up buying the CD three times....they seemed to keep disappearing.

On par with Zeppelin with respect to innovation. Seen them twice. Ritual then the first Lolla tour. Only Tool has managed such an innovative package since.

  38. Micole Skertic

If this was filmed at SCREAM ( Park Plaza Location), my date and I made it past the door , and then kicked out because we attempted to sneak in those little Club mix drinks. I don't even remember how many times I saw them at the Embassy Hotel location.
Saw them open for Gene Loves Jezebel at the Roxy and open for Nick Cave at the Variety Arts Center in '86.

"The song was named one of the best hard rock songs of all time by VH1." Jeezus, how's that for a backhanded compliment? It's like your mom telling you that your new T-shirt looks cool. Come to think of it, I had an awesome Jane's long-sleeved T. Gonna go find that thing on e-bay....

  46. Linđa from_North

  70. Jacob Papageorge

On MTv watching Tommy Lee say music was stale and hoping something would come along and shake things up. I thought what a bozo because he was what was stale and the shake would blast him out of the scene. Within a year Nirvana owned the channel and Motley Crue and the rest of hair metal was gone.

  71. Mary Soundgarden

    Visti live in Italia...mostruosi, Incredibili.

I still remember sitting in the backseat of my friend's car in early '89 when the guy riding shotgun put this tape in. We were metalheads (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer) and I was completely blown away. This one album changed how I looked at music to this day ranks as my all time favorite album. It's absolutely perfect.

  97. flocker for life ruger
