James Gang - Lost Woman Lyrics
Don't know where to run to, don't know where to hide
See my future comin', but I try to keep my pride
But I lost you, lost you woman
The only woman, woman who was my kind
After what ya done me I can only treat ya sane
But I lost you, lost you woman
The only woman, woman who was my kind
But if you come back, I won't be the same
After what you done me I can always treat ya sane
Cause I lost you, oh that woman
Only woman
Woman who was my kind

James Gang Lost Woman Comments
Joe's finest cut, ever.
INSANE LEAD, INSANE BASE. I HAVE THIS VINYL IN MY COLLECTION. DID I MENTION THE DRUM SOLO.
Got into huge sh*t at college when we turned the bass up to 11 on this track one night.
You know I've seen and heard many good drummers over my 50 years of jamming and listening to all the best bands, and I remember my older brother bringing this album home for us to hear and I still have to say that I haven't heard many of the drummers quite as tight on their recordings like Jimmy Foxe "'Lost Woman" . And that's why I can't sop listening to it.
Jim Fox- One of the great, though unrecognized, rock drummers.
Who play the solo on this?
Jim Fox
How often do you hear bass solos these days! Or ever!
I didn't know he did this. Joe can do anything! Who is playing bass!!??
Tom Kriss!!!! Yes!!!!
Tom Kriss
DOES ANYONE REMEMBER HOW BADASS THESE GUYS WERE BACK THEN....???
I do James gang was my 1st concert I was about 14 years old went with my older brother
Remembering again what a tasty drummer Jimmy Fox was
hah, uploaded on my b/day 2011,, cool. ♥it.
The live version, ("live in concert" 1971 at carnegie hall) is by FAR the single best piece of guitar work from Joe Walsh that I have heard yet. What blows me away, is that they played a 17 minute song live without a note out of place;and you just know they were very likely all shitfaced!!! just saying
this is Joe goin' full !
JAMES GANG doing a Yardbird cover - Lost Woman

Thanks for posting this! It's my favorite song by Joe, the studio version!!
This was one of my "teaching" albums, teaching me how to play guitar by listening over and over, and doing what they did...finally got it, and will always Remember It!!!
I guess I will be the first to comment. I was listening to some Yardbirds tracks when I remembered this James Gang cover version. I can listen to James Gang all night long. I always looked forward to catching them at JB's in Kent. What memories!
