It's about fertile soil, oil reserves, resources, pollution, cities, animals going extinct, environmental destruction. Hi. Sorry your comment got stuck in the system. I agree and realise that the Earth is not gendered at all and it cannot be female or a mother. The saying 'Mother Earth' is merely to prompt others to take care of it as anyone would expect for their mother. I understand the religions' assign the Earth to "God's" work, but, this is a worldview I don't share either as Creation cannot be gendered any more than the Earth can. Creation evolved out if itself and is the highest expression of neutral-positive values according to the philosophy I support as relayed by Swiss author Billy Meier.
