Jacob Collier - Dun Dun Ba Ba (Interlude) Lyrics

Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
Under the moon, I saw you there
Under the moon, I saw you there
Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
Under the moon, I saw you there
Under the moon, I saw you there
Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
Under the moon, I saw you there
Under the moon, I saw you there
Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
Under the moon, I saw you there
Under the moon, I saw you there

Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
Down to the river, don't you dare
Down to the river, don't you dare
Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
Down to the river, don't you dare
Down to the river, don't you dare
Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
Down to the river, don't you dare
Down to the river, don't you dare (Don't you dare)
Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
Down to the river, don't you dare
Down to the river, don't you dare

Baila con el ritmo que nunca para de acelerar

Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
Follow the mountain, best beware
Follow the mountain, best beware
Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
Follow the mountain, best beware
Follow the mountain, best beware
Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
Follow the mountain, best beware
Follow the mountain, best beware
Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
Follow the mountain, best beware
Follow the mountain, best beware
Follow the mountain, best beware

Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
End of the world now say your prayer
End of the world now say your prayer
Dun dun ba ba mo di fwe
End of the world now say your prayer
End of the world now say your prayer
Hey!

Anyone know if dun dun ba ba mo di fwe means anything in any tongue?

    A.... ....

Andy After putting it into google translate, it recognized it as “Yoruba” and said, “I am very happy.” I’m not sure if that’s right though.

    That polyrhythm tho

  25. A.... C....

Ah a shepard groove! I tried to make a shepard groove a couple years ago, it didn't sound good. Good thing we have Jacob to do it right lol

    A.... C....

    @Keith Penguin read description

    A.... C....

I didn’t read the description, I must be losing my marbles. After looking into this though, he should have called it a Risset Groove (after the Risset Rhythm that this is an example of), but I guess that doesn’t conjure up the same ethno-rustic folk vibes as the ‘shepherd’ allusion 👍🏿

    A.... C....

@Keith Penguin the Shepard tone is named after Roger Shepard, it's not a pastoral allusion. Agreed that Risset already did something like this, although the execution here is different to Risset's approach, it appears.

    A.... C....

Abraham Frandsen You’ve misunderstood my point. I know what the Shepard scale is. I’m suggesting Jacob preferred to call this a ‘Shepard Groove’ rather than a ‘Risset Groove’ because of the poetic allusion to sitting around a campfire after sunset making music after a hard day tending to the goats, which other aspects of this track also conjure up (the crackling fire and generally rustic sound design , the choice of musicians, the African folk melody thing). ‘Risset Groove’ isn’t as picturesque, it sounds more scientific. But from my investigation into the Risset Rhythm this track features an exactly similar device. He even mentions it in the description (half speed at the same time).

    A.... C....

@Keith Penguin Ah, I suppose it's possible that's what was in Jacob's mind...

  26. J.... K....

    Kerennn sekali brother

  27. T.... W....

    Groove-y!!!

  31. A.... B....

Excellent sound and visual experience. It is an extra musical sensation, it is felt in the organic and essential of the human. Being human, it is like this, images and constant rhythm (fast, slow, etc.) Congratulations !!

  32. C.... S....

Oh my god I can’t believe this is you singing 😱

  33. J.... T....

The amount of logic session crashes during djesse should top the entire earth's population

    G.... R....

okay good joke but why on this one?? This is probably the song with the fewest tracks of anything on Djesse so far (other than Time To Rest Your Weary Head)

    G.... R....

@Andy Chamberlain Music because he just thought of it while listening to this one?

  36. A.... D....

    So magical jacob💛
