Jackson, Wanda - If I Cried Every Time You Hurt Me Lyrics

If I'd cry every time you hurt me
I'd be cryin' all the time
If I made a scene each time you were mean
We'd be quarrellin' all the time

But I don't cry and I don't get mad
I try to take the good with the bad
If I'd cry every time you hurt me
I'd be cryin' all the time

Now and then you say you love me
I try to believe you do
Then you turn right around and hurt me
Like I was nothing to you

But I love you so and I'll stay somehow
My tears won't flow and my head won't bow
If I'd cry every time you hurt me
I'd be cryin' all the time

Another very beautiful song by Wanda, I heard this recently, may have been at my daughter's who has all my old anda recordings. I love it!

Cannot believe this has been posted for
around three years, and I am the first to
leave a remark. This is so gorgeous I CAN HARDLY TAKE IT! The choir is otherworldy.
No need for a peddle steel guitar in orchestrations like this, similar to country
arrangements designed for Al Martino and Johnny Tillotson, and a lot of later Jim Reeves. The
string section and choirs MADE their recordings
when they decided against a steel guitar, just some output from an elecrtic 5 stringer. And some piano. Notice that here all the piano we got was
    THREE NOTES at the
end! Wish we had more than that! Still, one of her finest efforts. This is a
    Ruth Boykin Special!
    (Sure wish the photo
was clearer; it's one of her best!)

This is a Ruth Boykin Special; all of Wanda's country songs are! Thanks, Milton! Someone else here on YouTube has a good Wanda collection, I had one myself, until I gave it to my daughter.
