Jackson 5 - Forever Came Today Lyrics
[Intro:]
(Ever, forever, ever, and ever, and ever)
(Ever, forever, ever, and ever, and ever)
There you are
Something warm in your eyes
Touched my heart
And all the love I never knew
I found in you
Suddenly
My world, my life was standing still
And you touched my hand
I knew that we had laid a plan
For everlasting love
[Chorus:]
At last, at last
My forever came today
When you walked into my life
Made my lonely life a paradise
It came today
Forever came today
Ooh, look in my eyes and see how much I want ya
Feel my touch
You know how much I need ya
I may be young, but I'm old enough to know
Look at me
I will never let it go
Let this moment thrill me a lifetime
Make it last, make it last
Make it last forever
[Intro]
Darling
Ooh, my darling make me yours
As I touch your face
Tell me love has led me (led me)
To this place
And your warm embrace
Thanks to you
Thanks to you my search has ended
And I want the world to see
How gently love has shined on me (shined on me)
With everlasting love (everlasting love)
That I been forever dreaming of
[Chorus]
Ooh, you give me love by the hour
Ooh, you're my precious little flower
Girl you give me so much sweetness
Ooh, you give my life completeness
Make it last for more than just a day
Make it last for more than just an hour
Make it last forever

Jackson 5 Forever Came Today Comments
Are they really trying to pass Jermaine's voice/playback as Marlon's voice? That's interesting.
This is now my favorite Jackson 5 song.
This was in 1977
Michael isn't dancing. He is sliding.
Very good ... Greetings from Uruguay
Love this performance and saw this when it originally aired!! Big fan growing up!
Michael, Marlon and Jackie are so smooth together
Even though they were lip syncing, they did a good job making up for it with their steps... Jermaine quick the group after recording the album.. Marlon had to feel that void...
DAMN!!!! Truly No body SPINS like MJ
This was definitely 1975 not 74, I turned nine the year when the J5 redid Forever Came Today, and you here Jermaine but he's not there, that's when they left Motown in 75.
This footage is from 1975 or 1976, NOT 1974.
Priceless.!!!
Man I tell you, the Jackson 5ive was so special to me as a child growing up in the '70's. To see these 5 brothers doing their thing with such sharp moves was a thing to see. I had the pleasure of seeing them a couple of times live, and their performances was out of sight. They could never be duplicated. PERIOD.
Only the Jackson 5 had those moves in R&B.
Also the Temptations and it was started by the Nicholas Brothers.. Black men!!
2019 anyone ?
Junior Barthelemy yessssss
How Jackie must felt as a big brother watching Michael and Randy grow up beside him.
That man had such Emotion N Drama in his pipes!!!!! Vocal Beast #1
I can't, too dam fabulous, learning the routine asap!
This was 1975 not 74, this was on Moving Violation which came out in 75, I remember this Carol Burnett, it was definitely 75.
Michael Jackson was the only reason the J5 become famous.
But Mike didn't play the instruments. It was Tito, Jermaine, and their neighbors:Johnny Jackson and Ronnie Rancifer. It is true that he became the main writer/ composer of the group, along with Randy, after they left Motown.
You are wrong for that
They can dance
Pure greatness we better cherish and love having them The J's.
I love this so much help me😩💓
Its February 1976, the op has date wrong. Jermaine is gone and the Jacksons were moving to epic. Marlon even gets some vocals here.
MARLON LIPSYNCED JERMAINES PARTS
I cant stop listening to this song!! I've always, and I mean always have loved MJ, but I feel like my love for him has grown so much since becoming an adult. Its a daily need of mine to listen to MJ and J5. That kind of musical genius wont come to us again for a long time, if ever.
Tanisha, you said it!
God I loved him. Sigh.....
Apparently Jackie borrowed Jermaine's afro wig for this performance. Although Jackie normally had a huge fro, this ain't it! None of the Jacksons ever had hair this big, even when they wore it blown out.....The Sylvers had fros this big but not the Jacksons. But that Jackie sure as hell wears it well don't he?.....with his FINE self! If I had ever been lucky enough to meet him on a personal level, I know I would have permanently HURT myself on some Jackie Jackson. I would have made damn sure he put me in the Intensive Care Unit for at least a couple of weeks! A man THAT masculine and full of all them male hormones has more than likely put a homo or two in ICU. What a damn shame it wasn't me!
Really, maybe Jackie, but the rest of those things are real. Marlon and Michael had those shaped afros for years and Randy also had an emerging afro. Tito could be wearing a piece too, as he usually had a chunk missing from his afro.
Yaaaaaaaaay! That was awesome! And THAT is how you untangle yourself without missing a beat. lol
now who are them 6 heartless people who disliked this video 😬😡
3:43 Mike.
Beautiful song and Michael has this distinctive flow in his moves his brothers are lacking somehow. Yeah I now this is nothing new but I started *studying* younger Michael just recently and now I can see how outstanding he was with my own eyes
Yes!! he was definitely showing signs of his greatest to come.. greatest performer ever.. hands down.
This has to be 1975 or 1976. This song came out on Moving Violation (1975) and Jermaine is not there.
Great song, strong feeling to it.
Forever came today By Jackson 5.
Eu sou mais velho só 3anos mais velho que os Jackson five valeu Zé Carlos 👏👏👏💪
Name another 16 year old who can get down like that. .. I'll wait.......
He was 16 teen when he recorded the song!! It was recorded March 1975 released June of 1975!!
Does it matter n
Geewrld for the topic, yes. Stop getting your panties in a knot.......
@Brad Garner then he was still 16 because his birthday is August 29.
@Kris Krumanaker I didn't say he wasn't 16!!
MJ like blue,red, black,white,gold color!^^ happy video thanks ^^선명한 화질 굿~
I was at my 10 and I am at my 30, @Merlyn Luzon ! Things never change, right?
"Forever Came Today " by the Jackson 5 is a wonderful song with amazing lyrics. It is hard to believe that when this performance took place I was at the tender age of seven! I feel so cheated because at that time I was so unaware of the message that the lyrics were conveying. I am so impressed. Michael as the lead singer voice and physical presence in this performance is powerful. So many unforgettable decades of outstanding performances and precious recorded music that deemed the Jackson 5 worthy of an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1997, and an induction as a solo artist for Michael Jackson the King of Pop in 2001. Michael I love you my angel more than you imagine!

Wonderful stage presence, and outstanding choreography. Michael is a powerhouse leading very intense. This song is special in fact all the Jacksons songs are special. I personally feel that Michael is so sexy and perfect from 1971 to the present as the King of Pop. I love Michael more than he will ever know. Michael Jackson is Forever!
Prophetess Charlene M. Jackso
This choreography, song, and stage performance is wonderful. Michael leading vocals are very intense. I love you my angel Michael with all my heart and soul for all eternity!
We are Forever! I love you, Michael with all my heart and soul forever!
Choreography is on point
I love thid version better than the original
My favorite MJ era was when he was with his brothers during the teen years. You can still hear Jermaine in there singing, even though he had got married and left the group by this performance.
the album came out in may 1975. their apperance on the carol burnett show was 75/76
1:10 - 1:15 i love it when he dances like that
This song sets the tone....It was truely a one of a kind song! This showed their versital side has well has some slick moves. Love the outfits they wore is this video....from begining to end this song gets a 10 1/2 from me.
I love this song. Their choreography accentuates the rhythm and is just mesmerizing to watch. And Michael is so damn fine!
Of course I have a million fave J5 and MJ songs, but this ranks very near the top. The funky beat literally controlls your feet...can't help but move to this one! Still at the top of my fave song playlist!
0:52- 1:05 is what makes this song...anyone know if any other sampled this part or is in some lounge track?
I love this song then and now.
I have always loved this song
Michael you may be gone in body, you will FOREVER live on...... R.I.P. You are making it last forever.
It's one of my JACKSON 5 favorite songs !
I prefer The Supremes' version, but we have to understand that this version is heavily influenced by the 1970s trends in music, fashion, etc.
Let this moment grow into a lifetime. Make it last, make it last. Make it last forever!
my baby Michael the most handsome adorable humane being ever live on the planet
Merci superbe qualité d'image♥♫
@mcCartney7771
makes much more sense since Jermaine isn't in the group here
Love this performance!!! Funky 70s moves make me laugh !! Love Michael!!
Think they're miming though!!! :(:(
After all of these years, what amazes me the most is their flawless choreography. I grew up in England listening to these kids and had the opportunity to see them in 1972 in London at age 15.
it wasn't 1974 it was 1977
jacksons 5 the best band family of the all times
BEST FREAKIN' J5 PERFORMANCE.
I was in love with Michael when i was 18 and still am that i am 60
I remember seeing that performace...I love the Jackson 5!!
im a guy and i can tell that was sexy from a girls point of view
These were the good old days. I was in love with them in 1970;s and still in love
with them to this day. To see them preform first hand is remarkable. I'M glad I was
there , didn't realize it would be history. God bless the Jackson family.
How smooth is Michael. What a beautiful performance. thanks for sharing.
@ttlyloved101 Oh wow! Didn't notice that till I read your comment. Didn't he handle it well.
They are in sync with each other.....this is beautiful!
that's magic right there
This was so wonderful ! I've got to start my day listening to either Michael Jackson or the Jackson 5 ! Their songs liven up the day! Also they constantly dance all the time, unlike today's singers! The Jackson's are all really handsome, especially Michael ! My Angel!
He was smooth....he will be missed
Michael was so smooth mmm I miss him.
pure talent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually remember that and another number they did...
I love this song!! It's so good it actually gives me shivers!! lol
I love The Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson soooo much!!
R.I.P. MJ The King Of Entertainment xxx
wow ....i just looked at his feet !!
@thatniggasilk Haha artist today don't ever use Mikes with chords, they're all wireless LOL
The tightest and most synchronized performers ever... They set the bar that has not been matched.
It amazes me how synchronized and polished they are in this performance. Michael never misses a beat and his feet are too fast for my eyes. Amazing! And to do all that dancing without losing his breath or his pitch,,? Flawless. That's why he's the greatest entertainer ever.
this is Jan 1976
kpppppppppp
@Rachelsally
Are their faces on the backs of their vests?
This is one of my favorite songs
WORK IT MARLON, LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LOL
LOVE this songggggg!!!!!!!!!!!
And before anyone says anything, I'm talking about the line up when they TAKE the stage NOT dancing into different positions as in this video.
Also, I remember one tour (and my mind escapes me which one it was) but RANDY was on keys to Michael's LEFT up on a platform. As far as i can remember, that was the only time (Jermaine WAS on that tour also) One last thing that gets lost in these incredibly talented men is Jermain Bass line! Killer!
copycat429, PLEASE learn you JACKSONS! You asked the following question 2 months ago (and I quote).
"is that jacki or jermaine standing next to tito??? if that is jermaine, then where the heck is jacki"
OK, I want you to follow me VERY carefully when I write this, THE LINE UP ALWAYS WAS AS FOLLOWS:(WHEN Jermain was in the group it was (LEFT TO RIGHT) Tito, Marlon, Jackie, Michael and Jermaine. AFTER JERMAINE LEFT, THE LINE UP WAS (L-R)RANDY ON CONGOS, MARLON, JACKIE, MICHAEL AND TITO!
@Bassplayershadow2023 God, how lucky are you to have seen them so often and so early! At least I saw them in '74, but barely remember it. Darn!
@94lovemichael Actually, you're both wrong--this was 1975, and on the last album they did under Motown. By '76, they had left Motown.
These dudes are bad...I was talking to Marlon about the choreography for this song a while ago...it is his favorite...I used to listen to this Moving Violation 8-track all the time back in 74, driving a 1970 Delta 88, living in Indy...I still have the 8-track tape...nobody moves and grooves like The J5...
it looks like they're performing in some sort of endless white mist in space
Great cover of a great song originally done by Diana Ross & The Supremes back in the late 60's.
incredible coordination yhey fave...effortless! they just had the whole package..mchael just "floats" accross that stage..we shouldve known back then that we were looking at the greatest there would ever be. Check out MJ's "ghost-full version" and "someone in the dark"
