Jackson 5 - Breezy Lyrics

Breezy, yeah

They say that you'll be gone
Never stay too long
Won't let love begin
And you changed like the wind
Girl I got you on my mind
Laid my heart right on the line
Like a mirror in the sky
Love's reflecting in your eye

[Chorus:]
(Breezy)you're so easy to love
(Breezy)you're my high flying dove
(Breezy)don't let love fly away
Baby stay, oh (ooh)
[Repeat]

The wild is living free
You're so warm to me
Love is coming on
And I feel it getting strong
Trying everyway I know
To make you never want to go
The wind that brought you here is gone
Why race back to where you belong

[Chorus]

  8. D.... ....

Michael didn't get the majority of the leads on this album because Motown wanted him to sound like "Little Mike"!

    D.... ....

DeeNice681 that really sucks.I think his just gotten better during those years

    D.... ....

Next year and especially in 1979, it was Motown's loss!

  9. T.... M....

There was too many lead vocals by Jermaine on the record. Not bad but I rather hear Michael sing lead.

    T.... M....

I adore Michael, but for me there could never be too many lead vocals by Jermaine. 😁😁😁💜

    T.... M....

He married the boss daughter that's why

    T.... M....

There were not enough Jermaine vocals in my opinion.

That's what I love about The Jacksons music. There non commercial songs were bangers to. People get so into what they play on the radio all the time they never realize there entire catalogue was great.

    J.... J....

    Just Lord exactly

    J.... J....

Just JuanGoodCitizen The non commercial joints The Jacksons came out with remain as the best ones

    J.... J....

    True Dat,

That's one of the reasons why they split from Motown. They wanted more creative and production freedom and Motown wasn't giving that up. The label wasn't feeling the mature sound heard on albums from Get It Together on because they wanted the bubble gum soul that made hits. They definitely didn't like Michael's maturing voice. As a result, the later albums (including Michael's solo releases)weren't as successful and Motown was even considering dubbing their voices with younger singers. It was a huge mess. If you want to read more about it, I suggest you read Michael Jackson:The Magic and The Madness by J. Randy Taraborrelli. It goes into further detail in regards to the group's final years at Motown.

I loved this song on that album. I know Jermaine is singing lead on the versus, but I swear, they could have let Marlon hit that 2nd verse too. My favorite part is the break-down/Conga solo, and then they come back in with the chorus.

    N.... C....

I hear you. It was great when Marlon sang more leads and Jackie sang in his natural voice after they left Motown and joined Columbia without Jermaine. Jermaine's solo stuff was great by the way.

    N.... C....

bassistdc oh hell yess i agree especially his Motown Albums👍

That conga hitter is Sir Michael's younger brother, Sir Randy.
