However, during many television performances of the '60s, and '70s, it was too impractical to take the Motown musicians along, so they lip synched, or pre recorded backing vocals, and instrumentals. In other words, it's business. With that being said, the song selection above could be handled with keyboards/synth, percussion, drums, guitar and bass. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary for them to perform. Also, the Flip Wilson show, of course, had it's orchestra to provide strings, horns etc.

We all loved Mike, but it was just a fact that Mike had serious issues with being black. That is a natural legacy of slavery/colonialism. To try to ignore it only makes it worse in the long run. I don't have a love or a hate for Beiber so I'm not going to judge him unfairly for no reason. Beiber gets the same amount of attention MJ got when he was young if not more.
