This performance by contrast is vocal artistry, control with finesse.

At this time in Jackie's career, at age 12, there was concern about protecting her voice for the album (Songs of the Silver Screen) and this concert. Consequently, there are fewer demonstrations of her power and incredible high range. This is one of them. Nevertheless, the breadth of her talent is astonishing. If she competed on The Voice, she will win without a doubt.

We have heard many seasoned performers sing this on stage, and then along comes a 12 yr old young lady who pretty well outrages them all.

Yep, 12 years old here and carried the whole concert by herself, even acted as her own MC. Her second concert for PBS Television. Her first one , 'Dream With Me', she was only 11.

What a joy this now young woman has given her fans and the world in the last 9 years starting when she was 10.. now almost 19. Jackie is just such a great person at heart and her soul soars to all corners of the world and Heavens above, taking us along for a wonderful magical musical tour everytime she sings..

I've had the pleasure of seeing Jackie perform in Boston 3 years ago and just recently in Beverly and her voice and stage presence is so wonderful. What a gift she has her voice is so nice and she can hit high and low notes. She is such a wonderful young lady! Hope to keep seeing her perform for a long time.

This is a virtual performance that should have been seen by America on Monday February 4th. On AGT:THE CHAMPIONS! Not the shameful edited version shown. My question is one that will never be answered. Did the Super Fans see the edited version or an unedited one that was witnessed live by the theater audience and judges?

If the edited out parts were because she struggled with nerves or emotion then that might justify it. But if it's because she nailed her high notes and extended finish (which is more likely) then they edited them out to justify not advancing her. Also explains why she was put in the last group using too many singers had advanced already as another reason. Seems like they set it up to get the acts with the biggest fan following in the final 5.

@R D Those who will advance are chosen by corporate marketing stiffs weeks before they mail the first invitations. That's why she was time edited. They also realize she is their top talent and classes up the place. That's why she was the guest appearance in the finals.

I regreted that i had not known her earlier....such a great singer... It has been a long time I have not heard such a beautiful voice. Anyway, congrats Jackie Evancho. You are truly a pure singer.

@John Doe More likely Darci Lynne. Jackie needed to learn to either work with puppets, dance around playing the violin while singing, play the ukulele while singing in a raspy voice, or mock opera singing then 1/2 way through scream some heavy metal to catch the attention of today's pop culture crowd. Having the most beautiful singing voice ever just doesn't cut it. She needed a 'novelty' or a sad backstory or both.

Seems like they're fazing Jackie out of their stable. I posted a comment on AGT's Youtube video that Jackie is still the biggest selling music artist from AGT and still has the most views for her finals performance. AGT deleleted my comment.

@R D Just don't let yourself feel too bitter about it. I think Jackie herself would put it this way: "It's show business." The strongest people come back to these shows because they know there is no such thing as bad publicity. If Jackie decide she was done with touring today, I think she and her family could live pretty comfortably on her current success. I hope she knocks it out of the park during this Champions series, but honestly, I think Simon Cowell has probably pre orchestrated this whole thing. I do think Jackie will be among the final acts, Cowell really can't afford to not have her there..

@John Doe I know it's all business for Cowell and his decisions are based on what he feels is best to further the success of his 'Got Talent' franchise. It's still sad to see them cast aside someone who gave them such a huge boost at a time when they needed it. I suppose them giving Jackie 4 guest appearances plus including her on the 'Champions' show was enough payback for Cowell.

@Celine Johnston Jackie has said hundreds of times she never was, and never will be, an Opera singer. Evancho is "Classical Crossover", and on the same musical path as Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli. If you think "Phantom of the Opera" is Opera, then you have major perception issues. For the record, by far the best young "Traditional Opera" singer in the world today is Patricia Janeckova; both Laura and Amira will need a lot of lessons and practice time to catch up with Patka.

I've just recently seen this girl perform this song live at 18 years old . Her voice is even more spectacular now. She has lost nothing in her range. In fact it is now easier for her to hit both the high and low notes. She has more power now with the same beautiful tone and timbre in her voice. People speculating on her perceived decline are clueless. Go see her in concert and you'll see it for yourselves. She is phenomenal.

I was 7 years old when I watched you preform on AGT. At the time, I had no idea what Youtube even was, so it was the first time I heard u sing, and I was amazed. And I was reminded of you today, so I looked up your Youtube channel to see how u've turned out, and I am both impressed, and happy that I, and everyone else who watched you that night, were right about you. I yelled at my mom to grab her phone and vote for you imediately after I got over my shock. I remember that u said something about singing Phantom Of The Opera songs a lot when u were younger (after I finally watched it, I did the same), and now I finally hear u sing one of the best Phatom songs. Keep it up Jackie. Don't ever change.
