Well this isnt J's normal style, eric clapton could come out with a new song and u could say "that reminds me of neutral milk hotel" (doubt that haha), and just because its a different style, it could be right, bon iver isnt gonna remind u of J because they dont sound similar, its about the genre similarities, not whos been around longer

Dinosaur jr's newer stuff also compares well to their older stuff in my opinion.

green mind e nevermind were published basicly at the same time..1991..i remember well, every single journalist or music expert said refering to dinosaur jr: " this band will influence a music era" and no one talked about nirvana..but we know that things went in a different way..
