J. Geils Band, The - Hard Drivin' Man Lyrics

I love this album but if "Hard drivin man" and "Whammer Jammer" had been on ...blow your face out....it would have easily been the greatest live album of all time.

Went to lots of huge concerts to see great bands at Detroit's Cobo in the 70's but gotta say J Geils at the Cinderella Ballroom truly tore the paint off the walls; the whole place was rockin every bit as hard as the band. Killer concert I'll never forget (they played 2 nights). Dr Hook opened for em. We all tripped when the album came out.

Saw them in 1971 with Johnny Winter And...Mountain and Black Sabbath were no shows. Almost a riot at that one.

either. J Geils Band the best. After that it could have been Barry and The Remains, who
toured with The Beatles on the last tour, 1966. They have been called "the best band that
never made it, and "America's Lost Greatest Band." J Geils not in the RRHOF is a tremen-
dous injustice, imho. Seeing them perform live was like a cattle prod up your butt with
a charge of pure rock and roll ... RIP, J. Geils himself.

STEELERS COUNTRY) played the ever-lovin' daylights of this... album...gotta be one of THE BEST live albums of all time...and Harry and Larry, I agree, I caught that pretty quick when I bought the album, and just figured it was some kind of inside joke....where has Rock n' Roll gone? Where are the bands like this nowadays??

JGB was huge in Detroit. After their hometown of Boston, the Motor City was their favorite place to play. This song was recorded at the Cinderella Ballroom in Detroit. The crowds there always went nuts when these guys played.
