What made me angry about the Fright Night remake is they didn't use this song for the end credits. It would have been bloody fantastic.

I remember this when I was 15

Man they could went huge Peter Wolf stayed in the group. This is way too techno New Wave. The only suitable replacement for Peter Wolf Beyond Mick Jagger would have been David Lee Roth and David Johansen the two Dave's could have pulled it off.

I was only eleven years old when fright night movie was a success. I have so many good memories of this time, and for me, it was the best vampire movie ever.

Good memories back then growing up watching this and The Lost Boys. Two great vampire movies from the 80s.

I was born the year the film came out but growing up I watched this and Lost Boys. Still two of my fave films. Watched Fright Night last night with my mum :)

I just couldn't make peace with The J Geils Band after they asked Peter Wolf to leave... he wanted to stay in the r&b influenced rock realm, and Justman (the band's chief songwriter) wanted to move into electro-pop... knowing that the others were blues purists in the beginning (and after the band broke up) I imagine they thought they were going for the money. Wolf was right, as proven by his immediately successful solo career versus the Band's quick crash and dissolution... they had spent a decade building a large audience who let them take blues and r&b and make rock out of it, and they lost them with the trendy techno-pop... that audience followed Wolf.

One of the few single's ever released by J Geils Band and not written by Seth Justman and or Peter Wolf. Of course, Peter was gone by "Fright Night" but Seth did a great job.

Their early singles ("First I Look at The Purse," etc) were covers of old Motown and blues and r&b songs that Justman and Wolf didn't write... lots of later ones, too ("I Do" from "Showtime")...

First LP had 7 written by others including 1 by J.Geils himself and a band composition under the name Juke Joint Jimmy. 2nd lp had 3 outside writers and 2 by the band under Juke Joint Jimmy. Full House had 5 with 2 band compositions under Juke Joint Jimmy. Full House also had the only Wolf/Geils composition called "Hard Drivin Man." Bloodshot had 2 outside writers songs. Ladies Invited had none--all Wolf/Justman. Nightmares LP had 1 outside writer song. The original sancturary LP put had no outside writers (later on in a reissue they added 2 songs by other writers). Love Stinks had one outside writers neither did Freeze Frame. Actually, Fright Night was a step back to using an outside writer as their earlier works featured more than later.

Donny Downer here, sorry. Nice corporately inspired tune here, but their earlier radio hits like ‘Love Stinks’, ‘Centerfold’, & ‘Freeze Frame’ knocked it out of the park...much more than this one.

They never recovered after the departure of Lead Singer Peter Wolf.
