We had an old wind up record player. My dad brought this album home in 1954 and I played it many times. Fooba Wooba John was my favorite.

Lol! Yes! The song was so ridiculous, but sung by a good singer, I just HAD to look it up! Also, that scene was super cute!

We had a Burl Ives vinyl album as children (early 60's) full of folk songs for kids (like this one) and this was my favorite. Way too short, but as a kid you hang on every word. Thanks for posting ! [Note: Looking at the previous comments below, I think it was the same "Little White Duck" album that "Marcellus The Green" speaks of.]

Our family got its very first record player one Christmas and my grandfather, who knew Burl Ives personally, bought us this record, which had "the Little White Duck" as the title song. We played that record over and over and over. It was a good Christmas and the record lasted for years! I wish I still had it.

I had this song on a Burl ives album when I was a kid in the 1960`s, and what memories it brings back......may sound corny, but it was my favorite song on the album. I just don`t remember it being so short
