Met an old gentleman back in 1981 in a bar The Coach Inn Killcornan Co. Limerick Ireland.He was in Ireland for a couple weeks holidays and called into the bar most nights for a few drinks and myself and friend Willie became good friends with him. He was American and smoked these big cigars in them days it was OK. We thought nothing of it he was just a big gentleman having a quiet holiday in Ireland. A couple of years later i was at home in Derry i was watching the Terry Wogan Show and Terry Wogan introduced this guest and could not believe it there he was the big gentleman we met and became friends with Burl Ives not once did he ever mention that he was a legend
