This may sound completely random (and trust me, it is),
but Twin Peaks brought me here.

I am re-watching the original series on Netflix. Over the last couple of days, I've had the Twin Peaks theme in my head. That theme somehow morphed into this in my head.

Not too random or crazy! , guitar is similar sounding to Twin Peaks stuff... btw, David Lynch used Chris Iaak's music in his film 'Wild at Heart', and Isaak had a small part in 'Fire, Walk With Me' ;)

David Lynch much like Wem wenders had always had a love for americana albeit a dark version but American non the less. So Chris isaak fits in perfectly into that back drop. I've always enjoyed when these types of singers make it into shows or movies that you know the director loves. Like when lyle lovett or dwight yoakum ended up in movies it's like the director giving a nod to their music. For me the Lynch isaak mix seemed natural.
