Isaak, Chris - I Forgot To Remember To Forget Lyrics
I forgot to remember to forget her,
I can't seem to get her off my mind.
I thought I'd never miss her,
But I found out somehow
I think about her almost all the time.
I made myself a promise
That I'd soon forget we ever met.
But something sure is wrong,
'Cause I'm so blue and lonely.
I forgot to remember to forget.
The day she went away
I made myself a promise
That I'd soon forget we ever met,
Well, but something sure is wrong,
I forgot to remember to forget.

Who is the pianist on this song???
Great singer,performer and nice guy!
Chris isaak's beyond the sun is a must for all true rock 'n roll fans. 🎸
the new face of rock and roll chris issak. what a voice still sounds good at 60 yrs old.
OMG... This song makes my Heart Flutter <3
Brilliant ! Chris Isaak can do no wrong !!
He is the man!
Great version! Would have loved to have been able to hear Buddy Holly's version, but apparently it's lost forever. It was supposedly his mother's favorite thing he ever recorded.
Done with a nice touch by Chris.....
Besser als das Original von Elvis! Spitze wunderbar+cool!!
Thank you, Mr. Swann. This is a keeper.
Best cover ever, well done Chris Isaak
Just love his "Rockabilly" sound!
What a great singer/performer Chris Isaak is.... wow... so underrated!!
sounds very 50s i wish i could dance it well , gold music :)
Originally from the 50's Elvis Presley recording. I think Chris does it better.
@Billy Swann originally recorded by Charlie Feathers on Sun but Elvis'' version is the most famous among many others including the Beatles early on.
Billy Swann.......I like CHRIS ISAAK voice......fantastic entertainer..
Awesome performance!

de rien!
"I Forgot to Remember to Forget" is a country song written by Stan Kesler and Charlie Feathers. It was recorded at Sun Studio on July 11, 1955, by Elvis Presley, Scotty Moore, Bill Black, and Johnny Bernero[1] on drums, and released on August 20, 1955, along with "Mystery Train" (Sun 223).[2][3] It was rereleased by RCA Victor (#47-6357) in December 1955. courtesy of Wikipedia
Great tune on a great album
love it...
Can you give me a single reason why Presley, should also have written some songs?? All the world's songwriter, prayed to God that he would sing their songs! Presley was always careful to make clear who had written "his songs"!
Colonel Parker, however trying to get 50 percent in royalties by attributing Presley as song writer.
AMEI ELE TEM TUDO A VER COM ELVIS E JAMES DEAM
because a tribute is to perform someone songs in a similar way that they played, would it be a tribute to Elvis if someone performed Hound Dog in dubstep and added a load of techno, no, because the style of the song has been changed too much for it to even be related to elvis!! Also why not want to sound a little like the King he was one of the greatest music artists in history!!
I agree with you 100 %.....
Doganshang Has
And Elvis didnt write hardly anything.
Not a traditional. Stan Kesler and Charlie Feathers. They probably still hold copywrite on it.
A tribute album, why try & sound like Elvis then,im sure if he sang in his normal voice,it wouldnt sound like an impersonator...You can tell when people try & sound like the king....They should just give up,leave it to the main man,ELVIS....
bloody great song
It was written by Stan Kesler and Charlie Feathers and originally recorded by Elvis in 1955. Charlie Feathers later recorded it as well, amongst the long list of other people.
and Charlie Feathers.
Oh Wow. Love this version much more than Elvis' version! :)
Written by Stan Kessler and the Great Sun Rockabilly star Charlie Feathers. Charlie recorded the demo of the song.
Elvis did not write this song. It was written by Stan Kessler.
Thank you Chris Isaak for this album, I just love it!!! Just like I love Elvis, I know I'll be listening to these songs and many more to come!
Seeing Chris tonight, I'm so psyched up for the show!
there all talented thats history this is now Chris is awesome coming to toronto massy hall in oct. cant wait my home town
Elvis was a great talent one that will live on forever but "All Shook Up" and "Don't Be Cruel" were written by Otis Blackwell and Elvis changed a couple of words that's the truth I don't think he realized how it looks today it was not an unusual thing at the time the Colonel is more responsible than Elvis Chris gives a great rendition one of the best
yeah many others even the Beatles
Elvis Did Write Some Of His Songs Not All Though he Wrote Anything That's Part Of you and Someone You'll Never Forget All Shook Up Don't Be Cruel And You'll Be Gone Rest Were Written For Him Or He Covered
Elvis was the first to make a recording of this song.
Very nice song! Thanks for upload! Sehr schön:-))!
Reminds me of new vegas quest
Great song, weak singer.
(words & music by S. Kesler - C. Feathers)

@marrasparra1 He aint impersonating him, its a tribute album, Chris has been making songs for over 20 years. Also didnt Elvis sing other peoples songs anyway...

a favourite song of mine. This is a great version....why doesnt everyone realise it!!
A Charlie Feather's tune - and this is a superb version.
@Catman200133 Thanks for the info!
Elvis didi it too but it`s an old traditional. Lot`s of others made it too. For Example
Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash too.
