Amazing song!! The intro is so out of this world! Adrian Smith and Dave Murray are the best guitarists in the history of heavy metal for me cause what a duo they are together!!

No Prayer tour was the one time I saw Maiden live. The band kicked ass and I was just happy Eddie came out for a minute lol

Its a typical E minor epic little melody around the 7 fret thing. You find those tens and tens of times in Maiden songs. And its fucking gorgeous. And this one might be the most beautiful.

The x factor is amazing, the only downfall was that Maiden wouldn't tune down for Blaze. Blaze has a deeper tone voice and that's why most people hate the album also because it just isn't Bruce. Songwriting is great too, the sign of the cross is great, Maiden still plays it today with Bruce on vocals, check out the Rock in Rio version

This is probably in their top 3 underrated songs. Easily in their top 10 songs of all time. Best song on the album

One of my favorite Maiden tunes, full of different thought processes on what is beyond this life. It does make me wonder, makes me think.

If I was recommending maiden albums to anyone I'd say - Iron Maiden, notb, 7th son, x factor, BNW. Those will give the perfect cross section of maiden and a flavour of how their sound varied.

Daniel Ellis yeah it's epic. The songs are just so layered with so many little intricacies that add to the overall sound. Their recent stuff doesn't compare imo don't know wether it's a conscious thing but they've never done that polished sound again. After this they went back to a raw sound on npftd and suffered for it

I remember when 7th son was out and I was waiting until the album is available in the nearby music store. I will never forget the feeling of waiting to listen to the new Maiden's album in vinyl. Well, these times has gone forever but the memories remain. UP THE IRONS!

@C C No. Number of the Beast has like one song that is good, and it's not as good as the best song in either Caught Somewher oro Seventh Son.by a long shot. Alexander the Great is a masterpiece ballad that destroys both albums single handedly. Seventh son has a different sound that is very good, hence the Infinite Dreams comment being the "best" according to many listening to it. The rest on NoB are more forgettable compared to other albums examples. Piece of Mind has a some good ones and is more difficult to put down the list but where eagles dare (a good one) is beaten by Powerslave's Aces High. Piece of Mind is certainly close but the others eclipse it. For one, the ballads on two of the three I mention destroy each alrbum alone. AtG and RotAM. That leaves seventh son, which has a very nice, different sound that is special. NoB is definetily below all and overrated because of one song (the whole NoB bullshit "oh how cool the title is 666 it must be good" stupido!)
