Interrupters, The - The Prosecutor Lyrics

(His original name was!)

He's been around since the dawn of the ages
If you read between the lines when you turn the pages
He feeds off of darkness, lust and greed, pride, sloth, wrath, envy and gluttony
But I cast him out, got the light on my side
I'll be better off without him 'cause I know he lies
He's a snake with a rattle, yeah I've heard that buzz
His original name was

The prosecutor and he doesn't have a case
He's the prosecutor and he doesn't have a case
Yeah, he's a liar, I am water, he is fire
He's the prosecutor and he doesn't have a case

He doesn't work for the county, doesn't work for the state
He only works for his cause and his cause is hate
He doesn't work for the people, no pro bono
From the depths of hell, fallen angel
Now he's probably down on the bottom floor
Waiting for mass shooting or another world war
He's a rotten one, so hold your applause
His original name was

The prosecutor and he doesn't have a case
He's the prosecutor and he doesn't have a case
Yeah, he's a liar, I am water, he is fire
He's the prosecutor and he doesn't have a case

La la la...

He doesn't work for the county, doesn't work for the state
He only works for his cause and his cause is hate
He doesn't work for the people, no pro bono
From the depths of hell, fallen angel
I cast him out, got the light on my side
I'll be better off without him, 'cause I know he lies
He's a snake with a rattle and I've heard that buzz
His original name was

The prosecutor and he doesn't have a case
He's the prosecutor and he doesn't have a case
Yeah, he's a liar, I am water, he is fire
He's the prosecutor and he doesn't have a case
No no no no
He's the prosecutor and he doesn't have a case
No no no
He's the prosecutor and he doesn't have a case

    Thanks mate!!

    Kyle Bowen

    no problem

    Jirzu Jirzu

Thank you as well. Would you have time to write the lyrics for some of their other songs as well? And for example place them on youtube..? Im from Europe and not able to catch all the lyrics... It would be great:-) I'm sure there will be more "new fans" after their tour with Green Day.

  4. Ivan Ondrasik

love this new CD , it's so melodic and catchy

Another Punk-by-Numbers song... What happened? Every song on your first album kicks ass. I'm having a hard time even listening to this one so far. Please tell me Tim didn't write the whole last album. It did sound very familiar like a refreshed OpIvy sound. I loved it though. Find the spirit of that last record. This new stuff is easily forgotten.

    Brenden Jones

hmm i feel the opposite actuallly.....................the first album was sick but the second is way more replayable............maybe i just listen to the same stuff to much. i has such a boy crush.................

    Lynchology101

Nothing wrong with this album but that's what happens when you use all your A material & have to follow it up this isn't at all bad in fact I love this album it's literally just the first set the bar impossibly high as far as albums go in general it was a gem.

    Lukas Kucera

The first album the band never knows what thier doing but the second they find thier sound

    Limbofish

i'm totally not going with your opinion mate.

For me Interrupters are the first Ska (Skapunk) Band in ages that hits me with every song. All three records are "all killer no filler" in my opinion.
I dunno how a band in the 2010s can make this happen but they are the best band of that genre since operation ivy
