Breakdowns are nice when they don't occur in every song/3 times a song, and when they aren't generic as fuck.

im not seeing what everyone's talking about ingested all of a sudden being deathcore. please, explain to me how the fuck this is deathcore. they've kept the technicality from the last album,sure theres a couple breakdowns here and there throughout the surreption but no big deal, they still use slams and the vocals are in my opinion just as good as on their last album.

James Duterrow I honestly stopped giving a flying shit what category of metal what band is. I just look for talented and heavy groups regardless.

music shouldn't be made to allow vocals "to be brutal" and no a vocalist either can perform good vocals or he can't no amount of music work can make a shit vocalist good (without computer enhancing of course) but you are right to some extent for example bands often use a blast beat at the start of a vocal to give it more hit and within ingested's case (in their older albums) they would use the fast double bass on some of their gutturals to give them a more brutal feel, so you are right and wrong

so if something ISN'T BRUTAL it's not important it seems you are the hipocrit here (either that or you didn't read my comment properly) i was pointing out that guitar isn't brutal that dosen't mean it's not important a song with good vocals and shit guitar is ruined, ingested used to have great vocals and great grooves and slams, sadly this album dosen't have any of those things awful vocals and average riffs and the drumming has died down just worse in every sense

all ingested songs have 3 or 4 breakdowns... your point pretty invalid... and how in any way can guitar be brutal..? thats like saying ooooh brutal guitar solo or oooh brutal slam both death metal and deathcore kids act liek fucking children breakdowns and slams can have "HEAVY" bass but most bands can't produce BRUTAL vocals ingested used to be one of the few bands who could produce good vocals than they made this shitty album

@MrDanteaguilar this band can be decently brutal sometimes but this song was a disapointment for me creamated existence alot more brutal vocals (alot less yells or shouts which sound so shit i hear better in screamo) this song just didn't do it for me

@Dysgenics22 i have listend to both of those bands (only one song by origin) but to be hounest nile sounds very weak there vocals are in no way brutal... they do have good slams though listen to i killed everyone god forgives i don't (more growl styled squeals) and listen to aversion crown the great depression for good growls

@7dayspking If you want brutal vocals then listen to Nile or Origin lol. Love the vocals on all their albums, more my style than squealing.

@Dysgenics22 hahaha the vocals in the song i showed you had alot more brutality than that off this song but i agree about the unskilled riff the difference between you and me is your all wrapped about a song having good guitaring the problem with this is you think you have the right to call something brutal... and a genre with more brutal vocalists soft compared to this i only liek deathcore because you find the extremes of vocals there i also love slamm death and deathmetal and other genres

@7dayspking Uh ya man, yet another example as to why I dont like deathcore. Listened to the whole song, was just bored. I like a lot more intricacy rather than just listening to heavy overtones of drums/bass to slow redundant guitar riffs and dull vocals. Hence why I tolerate Ingested because its still brutal death, just has slam incorporated so thus is more technical in guitar riffs while still maintaining slam breakdowns. Its not a matter of being ignorant, its a matter of knowing what I like.

Definitely an improvement from STBOHS. As others have said, if every album is the same the band can become boring. I find the clarity of the instruments and vocals to be better overall on this release. Great job guys!
