In Flames - Biosphere Lyrics
Slowly the winter wind tears my skin
Blood freezes in my veins
I wish you were here beside me
To release me from my pain
Last night you promised me
Please come set me free
From my misery
I love you
Truth be told
I'm completely numb
It got this way
I don't know how
I just can't figure it out
What do you want me to be?
Last night you promised me
You were still in love with me
Please come set me free
From my misery
I love you
Truth be told
I'm completely numb
It got this way
I don't know how
I just can't figure it out
Please talk to me
What do you want me to be?
Slowly twists my pride
Freezing as I die
Coldly I fade away
My life cannot be saved
Slowly the winter wind tears my skin
Blood freezes in my veins
I wish you were here beside me
To release me from my pain
Please try to remember me
Lord please send help for me
Trying, can't you see?
Why must this be?
Please talk to me
What do you want me to be?

In Flames Biosphere Comments
Essa introdução é épica ,mistura de iron maiden+kreator.som maravilhoso. Demais!!
Last time I was listening this song was when I was 16 lol. I’m 28 now, back in the days it was my favourite album.
My favourite IF song, hands down. Could listen to it for all eternity and beyond.
new in flames is awesome bt old one is lit af
Everyone's talking about Maiden influence on this but what about the progression on 2:10? Exactly the same as the intro from Disposable Heroes.
Wish they kept the song as catchy and groovy as the intro
The intro riff with the dual guitars is very eargasmic, lawd
sounds like arch enemy
Ronaldo Abs *Arch Enemy sounds like this
MAIDENNNNNNNNNNNN
old In Flames any day over the new songs
This album and Lunar Strain always reminded me of old-school Metallica mixed with Iron Maiden.
with black metal vocals
wish I could play like this
damn bitch
Can hear the obvious Maiden influence here. The intro sounds like a combination of the riff of Mother Russia and the middle melody of Afraid To Shoot Strangers.
+iluvkochikame That`s exactly what I thought of when I heard the intro!
wow, good call!
I remember this song from my childhood, I don't know why. The feeling when I first heard it as an adult was amazing!
One of my favorite tracks from their early days. This is how the band should have remained. No Anders and no Bjorn. No bullshit.
give anders a (slight) break .. he did fine very early starting out and bjorn was a severely needed replacement with stromblads personal problems and all. but it's clear that anders's creative vision is really hindering them. they could be so fucking good, it's so frustrating
@viqing I like what Anders did on the first 2-3 albums he participated on.
Is it a prerequisite to have a ton of riffs consisting of 32nd notes in almost every song in order to be considered Swedish death metal?
+Paul reed Smith Yes.
Damn that intro
Sounds like released power from fairy tail
The intro leads remind me of Blind Guardian or something to that effect
only difference being that blind guardian aged liked fine wine and in flames like benjamin button
So they got younger?
Actually, that makes sense, considering how their sound evolved. I still like them though.
I fucking love the intro. Not a fan of the vocal style, though... Still - a good song.
it is not anders :)
Old in flames is real metal what they are now is a joke they changed a lot and nit for the good
so true !
In Flames is Change.
zach slade “real metal” such an outdated term
try boys of bodom....
This song is awesome. Good OLD In Flames. Also, this song is a lot like Balladen om lilla Elsa – Dia Psalma/Strebers (another good Swedish band). A LOT inspired by Swedish folk music.
In Flames are my favorite bands. This song fuckin' rules.
Holy shit. It's like listening to Iron Maiden.
Are you serious???
@ironmaidenisgod watch?v=xLwkZUw_Ii8
they have influence from them!
Except in flames don't sing
Sounds just like the intro to Mother Russia from Iron Maiden
This sounds extremely familiar to Released Magic from Fairy Tail
I LOVE FAIRYTAIL!! I just got into it, on ep 45
The song's intro reminds me the riff of afraid to shoot the strangers by Iron Maiden!!!!
Also the intro to Mother Russia from Maiden!
Last night you promised me, you were still in love with me, please god set me free
iron maiden=??? jajajajajajaj mmmmm..empezo muy parecidoo
Indeed, Maiden's one of the reasons melodeath started. Jesper said he wanted to combine Death Metal with Maiden's melodic style.
and we got melodeth
GRIM!!
If you think they're similar, compare this to Iron Maiden's The Pilgrim.
/watch?v=wReIilks9Ls
Which is weird because this song is way older, and Iron Maiden was their hugest influence lol
The intro is more similar to "Balladen om lilla Elsa" by a Swedish punk band Dia psalma/Strebers in 1991. Iron maiden was not the first with mother Russia then which was released in 1998. The intro is probably from some older folk music.
this is way better then the last few albums, pure fucking metal!!!
this is fucking underrated
It's a catchy riff. One time I stumbled upon it on guitar and wondered what I was playing until it finally hit me.
Exactly what I was thinking.
The iron maiden influence is really strong in this song.
Fuck yeah.
The melody on the start reminds me a little of Iron Maiden's Mother Russia
love this song
Oh I know alright.. Good ol' Grim :)
GRIM!!!
FUCKING GRIM!!
Thumbs up if you know what im talkin' bout!
this is real In flames not this new shit they produce nowadays.
final frontier ;)
...Iron Maiden.
used to listen to this album on a tape with my walkman.. remember i always wanted to listen to this song twice, but took me ages to rewind it..
rara rasputin
man what the hell happend to in flames. they must of lost a shit ton of fans there newest albums are just really crap.. like i know a band has to change but my god in flames went to great melo death to popy metalcore metal
I wish they stayed like this forever...
No flak deserved. You are entitled to your opinion. I hate how if someone doesn't like a particular song people who like it take it as a personal insult. Everyone has different tastes.
Ugh. I know I am going to catch a ton of flak for this, but for me this is painful to listen to. I actually am glad they evolved from this.
It would be a shame if they did...but they didn't so, yep.
yeah... old In Flames we trust.
It's a shame to see In Flames go from melodic death to some sort of thrash-deathcore style.
I haven't heard this song since about 2000, and the intro randomly popped into my head. Forgot what band it was and what the name of the song was. I spent about 4 hour searching for it until I finally found this band AND this song. Listened to it about 6 times. I'm much better now.
Also found that the newer stuff is a little soft. Not bad, just not nearly as good.
@Banned187 Anders growled even before '91. In 1990, he released the Enfeebled Earth demo with Septic Broiler (pre-Dark Tranquillity).
True, the beginning and ending reminds of mother russia and another song(cant remember), but still its better and the rest of the song and vocals are NOTHING alike.
@Buttercito Tbh, it doesn't mean anything :P
@Banned187 Yeah you've got a point there. And I have listened to DT and CO but I think that Stanne's voice really made Dark Tranquillity a perfect band. Anders' voice belongs to IF ;)
the good old in flames!!
In Flames are okay today but this makes me fucking happy. Anders could never sing like this!
Fucking. Epic. Riff.
@DarkLordNagash The Iron Maiden influence is quite prevalent throughout early In Flames imo. Ah, how I miss old IF...
@sloxcs Listen to Iron Maiden's Mother Russia
@Purplebullet13 :D
die hordee rennt :D
@TheMetalHeaD256 It was their first EP and one of the best releases they ever made, personally I prefer this EP over anything else they ever released, but that is just my opinion, which is why I said one of the best releases. This song is probarly my favorite In Flames song.
This is so unique and so brilliant! You can't really compare this old In Flames sound to anything. 'Cannot believe this music has ended........It is a legend now!
@deathroll88 than*
but I agree, anything from this EP is better than new In Flames.
cool song. wasn't this their first EP?
@TitoIpro but this in flames song is Melo Death so Sonata Arctica wouldnt actually go with it but yea cos of it intro it really rocks
pwnnnnnnnnnnnnnage
@deathroll88 "whinning?" Is that like what Charlie Sheen really does?
one of my favorite songs :D
if you love this song, you should look for other band like Falconer, Kamelot, Sonata Arctica, ect. this song remind me them
@biggbb253
nope.
Love the way it doesn't have an intro - straight to the head bang worthy shit!
@Pezablez It looks to me like a wood fire burning with the image of a little girl inside of the flame....it appears she may be looking down or stepping on a severed head....I have a much larger picture and that's what it looks like to me. There is definitely a wooden fire burning with a girl inside, the head part is a possibility.
The intro is so awesome.....I feel like a viking pillaging a village when I listen to this song.
@frethero19 Inflames wrote this in the 90's
goosebumps
@orkiwutz man when i heard that song for first time i thought exactly the same thing!!they are sooo similar:P..but in flames wrote this at nineties and maiden wrote no more lies at 2004...who ispired whom?:P
YEAHHHH I love old in flames!!
@knorCam lol euhm mit viel Fantasie kann man daraus die binomischen Formeln ableiten. Siehste das auch? XD
this is surely one of the best songs ever
Such a great melody
@orkiwutz I thought that Maiden MAY have drawn inspiration from the riff for their song "The Pilgrim" which was released like 10 years after this. Not implying anything and it might not be true, but they do sound VERY similar.
The style of this album is sooooooooo awesome!
@sloxcs idd 0:00 - 1:00 for the best memories
ne mogu da verujem kako su znali, a onda usrali...
I like the intro, it reminds me of Iron Maiden's Transylvania
@TheGoldenPS1 and wrong again with u i have a cd too released in 94.... so i know what im talking about too so yeah.....
