Back when Impending Doom was fucking insane. After their first two records they just fell off for me. Nailed. Dead. Risen is a masterpiece.

+Isaac Chandler I have. There's like a few songs that are okay, especially "Death Will Reign". That song is dope. However, I miss when they were as brutal as they were during their first two records. Those were the times I used to listen to them heavy, you are right tho I remember when "There Will Be Violence" came out I was so disappointed. I usually listen their first two records most of the time.

I know that it is much better for christian metal lyrics to be stuck in my head than say carnifex, thy art is murder, cannibal corpse, behemoth, ghoatwhore (used to be my favorite band but by God I haven't listened to them in almost a year!!) lyrics..... At the gates, lamb of god, whitechapel, dyscarnate, and devildriver are still regular listens for me but all I can do is pray because those short moments of pleasure and the satisfaction of having a "unique" image are nothing compared to being in God's eternal glory after this life. Despite everything I think it's so much better to have christian lyrics in my head behind those grooves but I am very likely blinded God knows.

If you are not into really following Jesus you will probably dismiss this words, it would be sad, but who knows ? Maybe one day you will come to a point where you will go back and read again. Nothing is simple, and that "intentions" thing and all that kind of simplification mystical language is the way New agers go, not saying you are one of those, but precisely, they have also a "know how" when it come to manipulation...
