Wait this was an actual music video…? Oh wow!! I’ve been a ridiculously big fan of them for over a year and I never knew about this??

dan reynolds, I'm sitting on my bed next to my son watching him as he sleeps he's 11, and i don't know how i haven't woke him... for the past hour I've been crying, more like bawling. When i picked him up from school i could see in his face that he hasn't had a good day. He sat quietly after aboot 15-20 seconds i asked of anything was wrong, he shook his head, and asked that i play acouple of songs. This was the first he asked for, and one i wasnt familliar with. As i began listening to the lyrics i felt my heart breaking. I asked him if he would like to ride around to listen to music before we went home, he said yes. So we listened to 2 others, believer & it's time. Just afew days ago he was so happy, he was beginning a project with 3 other school friends, one of which lives ...just afew houses away from us. Well, i found out that child's father forbid his son to work on the project, and he's is not allowed to associate with my son either at school or outside of school. I fear he is being ignored or worse, though he denied that. So, the heart of the problem is not him... but me (his dad) and my husband(his pop). As we pulled into our drive he looked at me and said "i don't know why people are so mean sometimes... "he added "if people would listen to each other instead of trying to tear someone else down" i asked what led his song choice he simply responded that the messages in the song spoke to him, touched his heart, that listening to IMAGINE DRAGONS should be required listening, and even said that the songs create an opportunity for talk , because unlike alot of others in music the songs have actual meaning depth and soul. I couldn't help but apologize for us being us.... for our family being different he stopped me in mid sentence saying there is nothing wrong with our family.... being just what we needed and that he was more sad for his friend than himself. My son who is 11 and strait reminded me that we're exactally who we are supposed to be. It breaks my heart that he shoulders so much when he should ...just be a kid. But thank you guys for paving the way for conversation... he asked if we could attend the concert sadly the re isn't a way to accomplish that but hopefully the next tour will bring you guys to birmingham alabama.

William Rogers Well, whole there’s barely any chance the band will ever see your comment, that is very sad. I found comfort in them last year when I had no friends, and I might depend on them along with My Chemical Romance again this winter. I have a hard time keeping the friends I make, and losing one is just another heartbreak for me. I don’t know how his life is, but mine is pretty much dependent on the friends I have at the moment, if I have any. Maybe you could tweet that to the band, and they might see it. If they saw it, I bet they’d be touched by it
