Idol, Billy - Shooting Stars Lyrics

Here I come again
It is the end of the night
And baby stuck out tonight
Oh but to her strange vibes
To make her feel alright
For baby's feeling sick
Well now she tried so hard
So hard to be hip
She's shooting stars
With her friends
She's shooting stars
Till the end
What is the time of day
She thinks she's really hip
Oh it can be so maim
If you wanna play that game
Why don't you listen to me

Don't go out tonight
Don't go out with no boys
Oh your heads always to the ground baby
On the scrounge at the peppermint ground
Baby's feeling sense
Well now she tried so hard
So hard to be hip

She's shooting stars
With her friends
She's shooting stars
Till the end
What is the time of day
She thinks she's really hip
Well you wanna play the fool
You wanna be so cruel
You wanna shoot that hero
Oh don't you know that baby
Revolution or maim

It is the end of the night
And baby stopped out tonight
To many sing marks on her hearts
To do her any more harm
Baby's feeling sick
They tracked her down
And she tried so hard
So hard to be hip
She's shooting stars
With her friends
She's shooting stars
Till the end
She's shooting stars
With her friends
She's shooting stars
Till the end

Come on, be her friend
You know she's in my trust
You know she's in my strong

Saw this in concert in 1983 and you can't fully appreciate just how awesome and gifted a guitarist Steve is unless you see him live.

  4. Metal Wolf

    Billy idol is awesome!

  5. BEVERLY HILLS COP, MIAMI VICE

This was one of Billy's underrated gems. And Steve Stevens killed it on the guitar. Stevens is BLESSED on that guitar 🎸.

For real.. What an epic song writing team they are

    Scorpio Rising

Killer tune! Steve Stevens put in alot of time and practice as well.

I used to listen to this album on my Walkman cassette back in the 84. The Walkman was huge it had a shoulder strap and an antenna. But I carried it everywhere. And I enjoyed it.

Nothing less than the best! LEGEND. .

    Dakota Lawther

I never knew a Walkman was that big.

Oh man, I admire Billy and Steve so much! Billy's haunting dark lyrics, wonderful hooky compositions, and powerful and nuanced singing! And Steve's intricate and expressive playing and composing. What a great team! And Keith Forsey provided some fantastic production throughout several albums! For me, these guys are among the true greats of our time! High quality music with edge and soul that will stand forever on its artistic merits!

My life has been far richer and more wonderful with this music on the pathway! A million thanks!
