Edit: I guess the reason that I found this so damn funny is that the narrator simply just discribes Francis Bacon as "Dick" Dick isn't even a word that is using to discribe art/movie/novel/etcs. it's using to discribe someone's personality. and if the narrator was trying to insult Francis Bacon not his paintings, that is weird as well because the word dick doesn't include the meaning "one is bad at something". I mean this one word represents really well about the narrator's lack of literary skill.

Ala Alpha I hate modern art but it's because it's self awareness and "meta" qualities make it so cerebral that I have less of a meaningful appreciation for it not because of the lack of classical talent it took (even though that sometimes is highlighted if other things are equally as unimpressive).

The Idles got in touch with Steve Lamacq on his roundtable show, as the guests said they liked the band and the sound of the song but not the criticism of these various pioneering artists and their works. The Idles said that they were being ironic about these sorts of criticisms. I'm writing this because I think cunts like me need these sort of things spelled out! Great song.
