Ice-T - Dear Homie Lyrics

[Hen-Gee]
Dear Homie, whats the hap, since your up in the sky?
With God by your side
Homie what's it like?
I know your bein' treated right
No more worries
Plus you're bein heard G
I guess you know niggaz is still trippin
I don't know why, they see a future in it
We're headed for self-destruction
Can't function
Only thing I can do is pray
And thank God, for another day
Yes Homie, it's rough down here. I gotta watch my back
Cos it's hard being black
If it ain't the other
It's my own colour
Tryin to work me
Tryin to hurt me
Ain't no L-O-V-E
Please tell me why, Dear Homie

[Ice-T]
Dear Homie, gang-bangin ain't joke
And I'm lookin over ya loc
Always knew there was fools out to get me
I didn't even hear the gunshots till after the slugs hit me
I grabbed for my chest and my neck, hopin
When my head hit the ground my skull busted open
You used to ask for my advice
Well Dear Homie, dyin ain't nothin nice
And the place I'm at is overpacked
With young blacks who crash crack and gats
I can only pray
You don't come this way
You gotta stay alive, you got a kid G
I feel ya partner but I worry alot
Bust shots
I know you're tryin' to comfort me
But I don't want no company, Homie

[Hen-Gee]
Dear Homie, even though you're gone
I still fell your presence
Sometimes I can sleep
Cos I just can't see
Reality like it really should be seen
I still reminisce on how we used to kick it
Strollin' the yard, just hangin' out together
Down for whatever, whenever
And now I'm hopin, you're seeing a true friend in me
we where meant to be

[Ice-T]
Dear Homie, you used to call me O.G.
Now ya really gotta look up to me
Cos the place I'm at, is way high in the sky
I didn't want to die
But the life I lived was just to reckless
Too many bad marks on God's checklist
And many many brothers will go out
Just tryin to get that hard-core street clout
But a street reps final test, is when you're lying in a coffin
with you're hands folded on your chest.
Then ya hear the girls cry
Then ya hear the brothers lie
Talkin' about how down you was
Then the next week the back on the street, they cold forgot ya cuz'.
Don't wanna see ya on your back,
So for me stay sucka free, cos you don't need that, Homie.

Dear Homie...
Dear Homie...
Ya know I miss ya Homie...

DEADLY TRAFFIC ON THE BORDERA Drug Agent is found murdered
From Tijuana to Brownsville Texas along U.S.-Mexico border, moving at a snails pace due to all the tensions that arose and arising to this day known locally and known to others just as the “worlds busiest border crossing,” between San Ysidro, California. Ah the usual 20 minute delay on the 22-lane northbound approach plaza drag on as long as seven hours (when the little load gets called “in” so the big one can make it through) outsiders not reading knowing unless you know. But locals know the “real deal.”But that February U.S. motorist going into Mexico dropped dramatically. Howls of pain and and felt throughout Southern California, especially local businessmen and gringo customers dried up. What aches and pains they went through. The President of the Chamber of Commerce had also made  the comment about the Howling pains of local businessmen drying up. He also stated this is not the way to pressure are government, which is agreeable to most myself included. The CC President went on saying the relations were being hurt and uproars going on between the two countries ‘hurts business’. And I quote my opinion drugs is a multi-billion dollar industry as long as we Americans like it why should Mexico and other countries quit supplying it. John Gavin, the tough-talking former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico due to the non peace treaty in Mexico, could barely contain his rage as he tersely announced that the search for Enrique Camarena Salazar had ended. Camarena, a U.S. citizen and an eleven-year veteran of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) had been kidnapped by four gunmen in Guadalajara, Mexico early February 1985. Alfredo Zavala Avelar, a pilot who flew Camarena on many of his DEA missions, had been abducted later the same day. “The bodies of the men (CAMARENA, and AVELAR), They were discovered by the side of the road near a ranch about 100 miles from Guadalajara,Mexico.”said Gavin, a U.S. official (former Ambassador). Gavin also said they had been beaten severely, bound, gagged, and after all that, he added they had been stuffed in white plastic bags. “We call on responsible authorities of the Republic of Mexico to enjoin us and intensify the search for and apprehension of these detested criminal elements,” Gavin said referring to himself and U.S. Officials. For weeks Gavin and other U.S. officials had critized Mexico’s “lack of vigor and cooperation,”in the hunt for Camerena and  like always with any country when they get involved in matters that countries can handle themselves. Because of this families of the agents involved are in perdictments to this day. The U.S. went so far as to searching 26 official crossing points along the 2,000-mile U.S. Mexican border,  Families still going thru it
