Ice Cube - Who Got The Camera? Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Drivin down the motherfuckin highway
the flyway hey bitch, you goin my way?
Now I got a passenger
Would you like to hit the fat bud,
or perhaps should I run your name through the mud
I mean, are you giving up the nappy dugout?
She said no, well then get the fuck out
Cause I know where the hoes be feinin'
plus your fat ass got my six-deuce leanin'
Bust a U on the avenue
why oh why there ain't shit to do
But then sir jinx played his mix
and you thought that shit played out in eighty six
looked up in the mirror being followed by the hogs
One time's on my motherfuckin line
why the fuck the swine had to get behind a nigga like me
They must thind I'm a gee
they both walk up with the g. l. o. c.
(Freeze! There was a robbery and the nigger looked just like you. Now
get out of the car with your hands up and legs spread.)
Started they investigation
no driver's liscence no registration
When I stepped out the car they slammed me
goddamn ya'll who got the camera?
[Chorus]
Oh please, oh please, oh please, just gimme just one more hit
Oh please, oh please, oh please, just gimme just one more hit
who got the camera?
[x2]
[Verse 2:]
No lights no camera no action
and the pigs wouldn't believe that my slave name was Jackson
He said don't lie to me
I'm lookin for John, Matt, or Spike Lee
The motherfucker called for back up
I guess they planned to beat the mack up
He called me a silly ass thug
and pulled out his billy ass club
Tearin up my coupe lookin for the chronic
goddamn nobody got a panasonic
Found an empty can of old gold
came around and put my ass in a choke hold
Fucked around and broke my pager
then they hit a nigga with the tazer
the motherfucking pigs were tryin to hurt me
I fell to the floor and yelled lord have mercy
Then they hit me in the face ya'll
but to them it ain't nuttin but (a friendly game of base ball)
Crowd stood around I said goddamn ya
Who got the camera
[Repeat Chorus]
[Verse 3]
I knew when I saw that deputy smirkin'
that they were gonna put some work in
Mr. law had to hit me in the jaw
cause I called them faggots with guns and badges
They played rat-a-tat-tat on me head
but if I had the gatty-gat-gat they'd be dead
A victim of a big fat 187
and little devils don't go to heaven
Last night there were eleven but they were'nt scarin me
so they tried the flashlight therapy
I looked at the black one and called him a traitor
I don't give a fuck if you got a beta
Just take my fuckin picture
so I can go downtown and bitch and pitch ya (?)
The one that called me a spook
his name is officer David Duke
If the crowd weren't around they would've shot me
tried to play me out like my name was rodney
Fuckin police gettin badder
but if I had a camera the shit wouldn't matter
(bitch), uh who got my nine, who got my nine
Ya'll done did it this time, uh
who the fuck got my nine

Who is Matty Rich?
This song speaks for blacks and hispanics..
Who da fuc got da camera!!!
Sadly this has been our story for way too many years while others remain quite, and protected, we still march on in 2019. I remember when this cd dropped in 1992. As a kid then I didn’t understand the lyrics, and the meaning as much as I do today. Cube was rapping BLM way before it was a slogan!
Sir jinx use I got a thing, you got a thing, everybody's got a thing by the Funkadelic ⏭️
24 Hogs unlike this fire.
Facts all day
WEST WEST
please just give me just one more hit
They say this was his fall off album? How
+Ice Cube His best? His first 3 albums were much better, I think Death Ceritficate is his best, followed by Amerikkkaz Most Wanted. Lethal Injection had a lot of weak songs.
@Jessie 992
Not really, the only reason why people didn't like LI was because he freestyled a lot of his songs and they didnt make much sense, compared to the other 3. I love all 4 of them but LI is my favorite.
Who is they? See what I'm saying. They don't know REAL MUSIC
@Andrew Dillehay yep
@Dwon Wilson Kill At Will?
Die Hard is my favorite movie so I recognized that first sample immediately, fucking awesome, love cube
This is such an old school classic
Before he sold out 2 us white folk, family values

Die Hard sample.
"See if there's a black or white that can do a drive-by"
*black and white
(This refers to the color scheme of an American police car)
@Warsaw Pact Socialist No Shit Sherlock!
Still banging 26 years later. 💯
Indeed...
This was leagues ahead of its time!! Shit still going down. Fuck the police...
Thanks for the quality upload.

who is the bass player on this?
Big L aint better than no muthafuckin Ice Cube
Not even close
@Cadillac Kadafi I'm wondering why he just randomly picked Big L😂
One of the best songs Cube ever did in his 32 years in the rap game. This was one of them songs on this album that if you didn't grow up in the 1990s you won't get a lot of the references in this song: Matty Rich, Spike Lee, John Singleton, Rodney King, David Duke, and Panasonic cameras.
This song speaks volumes on what is happening today #ClassicCUBE.
@:51! Where is this sample from!?
It's a sample from the song, I Got a Thing, You Got a Thing, Everybody's Got a Thing from Funkadelic.
BEVERLY HILLS COP 1984, 1987 1994. Thank you sir. That's good lookin out
i fell to the floor and said lord have mercy.....
Its crazy how he mention s David Duke and we just elected a President that David Duke is a supporter of and he did not even care enough to lie or deny that Duke was a backer of his campaign
Trump's father was a member of the KKK. Another reason why Trump refuses to condemn them.
And now you got Christian zealots like Candace Owen who worship Trump and white JeZeus while attacking the religion of her Muslim ancestors who were enslaved. Like someone once said "aint this a b*tch"
A big difference in todays mainstream musix and ours of the mid 90s. It actually talked about what was really going on and not glorifying the bad but actually telling what was really going on.
Anyone else thinking of Mark Furman?
Still relevant today.
took the words out of my before i even got to the video
the shit bass line out cold
What's the sample at :50-59?
if you find out let me know
+Isiac Artison I know right, my cousin said it's a parliament sample but I don't know? I wouldn't doubt it tho..
@chillydotjeff whatever it was it was mean and fit perfectly
It's Funkadelic - I got a thing, You got a thing, Everybody's got a thing
This is still going on in 2016 R.I.P. to Philando Castile and Alton Sterling!
Grabbeats TV man this song should go on to them
Crazy how relevant this song is to today. Kus If I Had A Camera The shit wouldn't Matter
I havnt beaten anybody this bad in a lonnnnng time
See if mitchell crooks can film that shit.

bitch who got my 9 who got my 9 yall done did it this time who the fuck got my 9 classic
bitch who my 9 who got my 9 yall done did it this time who the fuck got my 9 my favorite line at the end one of my favorite Ice Cube songs
slept on classic rap song
To answer Ice Cube's question Who got the camera??...2015, everyone got a camera now. Dirty cops won't get away with bullshit anymore!!
Amerikkkas Most Wanted, Death Certificate, and The Predator are so relevant to what's been going on in America; that it's crazy. You would thought he just release these albums recently!!
Well, they can get away with it. The cameras just make it harder to deny, but most law enforcement agencies still do not care what happens to African Americans. This just makes them have to flat out say they do not care since they cannot say there is no proof.
@Starring: J. DoLo (as himself) Ice Cube is no idiot, never has been.
Whose voices are those at 0:18 and 0:20? If it's from a movie, I'd like to know which one.
Idk who's voice that is. I do know however, the "See if there's a black & white that can do a drive-by" snippet is from the movie Die Hard.
A Rage in Harlem.
One of the greatest MCs ever!!
1.KRS
2.RAKIM
3.ICE CUBE
Best story tellers! Don't forget Scarface
@War1 Won Big L, peeps slept on him...
1.Eazy E
2.Tupac
3. Ice Cube
(Why would BIG L and KRS 1 be rank ahead of 3 West coast Legends?)
Chuck d. Belongs on top
@Antonio Romero The only thing about easy as Lord knows I love him Q wrote for him he really wasn't a rapper everybody knows that. He was not a lyricist either. But the best at delivery and his vocals
23 years later aint no shit changed
Dilbert Doe die devil or slavery
CLASSIC SHIT,
This song shouldn't be as relevant as it is almost 23 years later! Yet Black & Brown citizens are still getting beat & murdered in the streets by corrupt trigger happy scumbag cops!! Film the police always!! #BlackLivesMatter Now, Always & Forever!!
Cmach91 Alllivesmatter
I got a thing! Parliament
by only 15 k views = the man is winning
not enough peeps have seen old school ice cube, he was a pioneer of truth, mad lyrics that got toned down over time, too bad
Dan Smith l
Leket
And an blatantly outspoken racist
Listen to his new album everythings currupt
wow it's like he wrote this song yesterday with all that is going own. I guess times haven't changed.
Dang but even cameras are not enough. Now what?
#icantbreathe
#icantbreathe
Now that video evidence is easy to come by, it's mysteriously not enough to to prove someone guilty of murdering an unarmed, innocent person. People on the streets are eventually going to say, "Hey maybe a camera is no longer enough of a defense for me either".
9454 plays! What a disgrace to rap music! Aye, I feel you Ant Fuller! This song is so pertinent right fucking now!
As relevant today as it was when it dropped
I bet not so much for Cube nowdays.
D Armstrong Likely not. Sad he had to become famous to get cops to stop fucking with him.
I don't think fame is a factor. They fucked with Pac; C-Murdah, Pimp C, Mike Vick, etc.
Even more so
I am white and back in the day I listened to a lot of Gangsta Rap and when I would talk to friends or family and race came up they would trash rap music for being anti-police and racist against white people and regarding specific songs about police brutality they would just say that they are lying and that it doesn't happen. Now fast forward almost 30 years later when everyone has a high definition camera in their pocket and you can watch countless videos of police abuse of power, excessive force, and even murder, those same people just don't care. They would rather #1 - blame the victims, #2 - complain about African Americans using their 1st amendment right to peacefully protest, or #3 just not care because the majority of the victims are people of color and even condone the police brutality. This country is deeply racist, it's quite unfortunate.
Thank you brotha, from a country kid :)
HELL YEAH cube you the man .......
OLD CLASSIC FOREVER
Cube is my man. He has made some of the most thought-provoking and inspirational as well as 'funky' Hip Hip.
My all time favorite song by Cube
love this fuckin song
