I am albanian and when I was in high school we used to listen on italian radios. But as we did not have any means of papers or magazines (let alone tapes or LPs) to read his name, we thought that his name was Jan Jury. That was because we couldn't distinguish the correct pronunciation of his name. We loved the crazy Ian Dury. His name (misspelled) was carved on the classroom benches.

Never met Ian, but there are few people I miss as much. Thanks for the upload.

I've been having a binge of Ian Dury today and I must say of the comments left by so many people have all been positive and in praise of his poetry and utter Genius. This has made me very very happy. Ian and the Blockheads are missed by so many. Those of us around in the mid to late 70's were so so lucky to have been 'there' (as it were !).

I saw him in Concert in 1980, Fabulous. I also Binge. What fantastic band as well. Just Superb.

RIP Ian Dury.......A cult and true punk icon was Ian...he keeps me going just now in these times..Tight ass band The Blockheads and sarcastic lyrical master..Ian... Thanks so much for this :)

Great tune..Some one asked on the Blockheads forum why they didnt do it live..The answer given was that Ian could never find the first note,so decided not to put it in any live sets.

One of my most favorite Mr Dury songs, and just listen to how amazing The Blockheads really are, a very much under rated band, just so very tight, brilliant drumming, amazing bass and then Mr. Dury's beautiful tones. 10/10
