I love Hayley. And that is possible. BUT I think most pop and rock stars are familair with Iamamiwhoiam. I've known about them for years. I for one am very, very shocked and bummed by what has occured. Hayley's management should have never allowed this to happen. It is as bad as the Josh and Jeremy dust ups. Hayley is way to talented to have EVER been engaged in what happened.

Don't throw other musicians under a bus to save Hayley and her team. Aurora's videos are nothing like ionnalee's. There is a big difference between having the same elements in videos and having the same elements with the same esthetics using similar shots! As much as I love Hayley and her music, they should be responsible for it. For fuck sakes, when you watch the comparison videos you can't tell them apart!
If this wasn't a direct copying, how would you explain Warren Fu's behavior? Isn't it fishy to delete all the comments that are mentioning ionnalee? If they didn't copy her, why is he desperate at trying to get away with it?
Also, those other people from Hayley's team who actually knew about ionnalee. Why didn't they say 'Oh wait, this is too similar?' or 'ionnalee already did the same thing, using the same colors, using the same shots?' or maybe they did say it but the rest of the team choose to ignore it? I really doubt that Hayley wanted to steal, but whoever did this is claiming someone else's ideas as their own.
Just because you choose to ignore it (and defend it), it doesn't mean it's not there. You can support Hayley without supporting thieves from her team.

- I adore Hayley. If you go search on Paramore songs, you will see my comments going way back. Even on "Stay the night" (which was one of my favs.) I would 100% think that was possible, that she didn't know, if she didn't title her lead solo song "SIMMER." After Ionna Lee also titled her song "SIMMER DOWN." Combined with the long list and the fact that the Director and Visual Effects Supervisor BOTH followed Ionna. Could they all be pyschic? Is there some mysterious connection between them? Do we live in a mysterious Universe, yes. Absolutely. I hope this is the case. After Laughter (Paramore's last album as you know) was unique. As were it's music videos. Hayley is an incredible, genuinely gifted writer / singer and performer, but what needs to be taken into consideration with ALL of this, is what Josh Farro and Jeremy Davis (cofounders of Paramore and amazing talents in their own right) claimed after leaving Paramore, that Hayley was unfair and in effect, ripped them off. So that information also plays into ALL of this controversy.

I love Hayley and Paramore, but this was as much a bad management blunder as the Josh situation and legal problem with the bass player etc. Really bad decision. And this artist has every right to call out Hayley. Way, way too similar.

Yes, because apparently this chick invented people being chased in the woods, and wearing intricate makeup (one was vegetables, the other a butterfly, I don't see how that's similar) and butterflies naturally emerge from a cocoon... vegetables do not emerge from a person wrapped in bandages.. lol...
And I guess Camilla Cabello plagiarized her stuff too because she used people camouflaged in body suits when she performed "Living Proof"...
Hayley doesn't NEED to plagiarize.
She's been her own creative force for years. Just because things are similar doesnt mean they sat there thinking of ways to steal other people's art. Similarities happen. People DO think the same things at the same time without any inspiration. It happens all the time, just like Hayley said in her video addressing all of this.

@Nece M - It very clear. You're just in denial. Even the close-ups and hand gestures etc. Paramore never really had amazing videos. Entertaining, but not amazing. They needed ideas so they took them from this artist. Very sad.

Wow. I realize I'm late to the party, but WOW. Is this whole album a metaphor for global warming/climate change? I feel like she represents the ocean/earth and she's trying desperately to send messages and warnings, that are completely confusing to/ignored by the dark figures (us humans, I presume), but of course, in the end we'll only make the Earth uninhabitable for ourselves--She (the oceans/Gaia/the Earth) will continue just fine without us once we've drowned ourselves... Regardless of what the intended message is, it's fantastic art and I love it!

This song reminds me "What else is there" of Röyksopp. Funny as in this year Jonna Lee concetrs with this band.

I really wonder if iamamiwhoami was created just intuitively or if they literally knew all the archetypes and stories they wanted to represent. If they did know and brought it to life intentionally they are freaking geniuses.
