Nothing really new sounding but that's not bad at all.

I The Mighty is the perfect example of how a band should progress. They never abandon their original sound, but instead take elements that fans love and expand upon them. This sounds like something that could easily be on Satori or KMN, but it's unique enough that it's still engaging.

Take notice A Lot Like Birds, Bring Me The Horizon, and the countless other bands that betray what made them big. Mad respect for these guys. One of the best bands out there - hands down.

Perhaps "that made them big" wasn't the right wording, but "what popularized them in the first place" is. Visit any of their new music vids on YT and tell me you don't see divisiveness in the comments. It's a mix of "I love their sound now" and "I wish they'd go back to how they used to sound". You don't see that here. Have a seat yourself, bud.

Matthew Helfrich I only found out about ITM literally on the release date of this album. Sleepwalker and Where the Mind Wants to Go are my fav (I like the whole album) which is quite rare coming from me. Hopefully I can like all their previous albums due to reading your comment saying they haven't abandoned their "original sound"

Check out their songs "Slow Dancing Forever" and the acoustic versions of "The Dreamer" and "Speak to Me". That's some of their softer stuff like the two songs you've heard so far.

Bands are free to go for whatever sound they want (as long as it isn't a complete sellout).
