Every time I listen to this band I find something new to like in their music. I, the breather and an Oh, sleeper tour would be sick.

Just check out their new album.  Shawn even has a solo song somewhere on myspace if you really want to hear his vocals.  Screaming has nothing to do with someone's ability to sing.

Just heard about these guys at Warped Tour 2014, and i absolutely love them

I just saw these guys yesterday at Warped and got to meet them. I have to say, they a freaking sick live! I loved them.

Got the hard copy already. got it on the mansfield mass warped tour day. a week or so early. its a kick ass album everyone should buy it and not steal. its only 10 bucks so please support them so they can make more music.

The vocalist reminds me of Like Moths to Flames style.

The kerning on their logo is pretty shoddy.

I hope this is just the Bruised and Broken of this album, I mean it's still ITB. It's kinda boring at the beginning but then gets a little better.

Some people may feel differently about the band than you and its only common sense  to be polite and respect one another's decisions.

Oh my christ, if this isn't one of the cheesiest things i've ever heard in my life, I don't know what is.  Like seriously, this could be a  genre parody, but, sadly, it isn't; It actually takes itself seriously

To settle everyones opinion on new ITB I've been a fan since the start and they're doing what every rising band with potential to be great does, they're experiment and trying to find the sound they want at the same time pleasing the fans of course not every fan I gonna be happy with every album or song but you still gotta respect the effort and hard work they put into the music. After all they do this for you. Thats what I think at least.

Why the hell is everyone freaking out over one damn song? Shut the hell up and wait for the album to be released. Then if it sucks you can bitch about it.

I mean, they are signed to Sumerian. What were you expecting? Sumerian is generally for more heavier breakdown type bands. If you have a problem with it then tell them to sign onto a different label.

It's really obvious that Justin left ( former lead guitarist). They were really technical before and some really nice lead melodies but that's missing in this new song. Pretty good still though.

Okay, this is just awesome :). I like the previous album, but this song is their best (I think).

They'll never be as good as they were on These Are My Sins. I still listen to that album all the time. Now they're just following the same trend as every other band, going for that djenty sound that's so overdone at this point. Sad.

Shawn is the only original member remaining which kinda explains the drastic decrease in the quality of this song. I am hopeful for the album though and regardless I love Shawn's vocals.

I don't get why some of you are bitching, it sounds just great.

I don't get why you guys always expect so much from bands.  They aren't here to meet up to your guys's expectations.  "sounds generic"  "i don't like it"  "it's not amazing".  Well isn't that too bad?  But if you guys actually noticed, Sumerian Records bands have been releasing singles that aren't as spectacular as a "teaser" if you will.  This is to show that they DO have new material, but you'll have to wait for the album release. For example, Born of Osiris released their single "Machine", which was a piece that wasn't their best, but when they released Tomorrow We Die Alive, their other tracks were just as good as their previous work.  Same goes for After The Burial with Wolves Amongst Ravens and Veil of Maya with Subject Zero.  Stop basing bands on ONE new single.

I hate how they turned so fucking generic, they used to be so good.

I hear they are writing like this because they don't want to be another august burns red or texas in july.....

Oh man. I dusted off These are my Sins yesterday for the first time in a good two years and loved every second of it. I hate to see that they've started making music like this. You're more than welcome to like it, but I honestly feel that this is horrible.

@KingCobra21 Ah, I see what you mean, and I somewhat agree because this song does sound like a lot of bands nowadays. I still liked the song, but I must agree that their past two albums were extremely creative.

@kangaroodude34 In my opinion (read that statement one more time), lazy writing, horribly produced vocals, cliche and nonsensical lyrics, and devoid of anything and everything that made the original release good. They used to be the absolute masters of the chug. After two years, there are still patters on TAMS that I cannot figure out of the life of me. This is just... boring, predictable, and lazy. They are trying too hard to be a METAL band when hardcore is what they're best at. I'm okay with them trying something new. Its not my band, but just like @Ryzrr said... this is too Rise-core.

@Rick Moran is Yeah I can agree with that, it is a rather boring and predictable song as opposed to their other works. Hopefully when the rest of the album is revealed, it turns out to be their best. 

Its something different from them which is a good change. But nothing really wowwed here. None the less I'll have to listen to the album as a whole before stating whether or not I dig the new shit.

I guarantee that half the people listening to this don't even know that Morgan left and Aaron is in the band now. Aaron fits in perfectly.

Man I am so sick of people complaining about how generic stuff is and that metalcore needs something to change and make it unique otherwise it will die. You know what? If you want something to change, BE THAT CHANGE. Everyone keeps criticizing bands about being a certain way, its their music, its their art, its their way of expressing themselves. Genres are Genres. people who sing and just use an acoustic guitar, to me are just as boring as people make this out to be. but you know what? i dont listen to that for the simple reason, i dont enjoy most of it. But im not going to sit here all day complaining that its boring and sounds the same as everything else. I want to see you prove that you can do better, besides music is music, its different things to different people. And one last thing, if something is considered generic. Thats because people made it that! they considered it good. So then bands take influence from that. 99% of bands dont sit there and say "How can we copy so and so band?" they make their own music, and it may sound similar but thats it. So quite complaining, if you want something to change, be the change, dont sit their whining about it.

@Clezzykrunk Periphery is oober dope, but before Periphery by Periphery there was Controller by Mis Sigs. I'd say both albums were ahead of their time. Completely different genres, but both own in their own way. 

I LOVE I The Breather, but I don't know. This isn't hitting nearly as hard as These Are My Sins or Truth And Purpose. The synth samples aren't working well to my ears. Fingers crossed though. The 2014 album as a whole may sound boss.

@***** in a way I think it's a little disapointing because yeah veil of maya and BoO are great, I love them you know? but I was also in love with I the breather's style, more raw, dirty but also very polished, very good musicianship and now... I think they lost that magic a little bit, that spark that had me hooked in the first place.  to me I think they just lost a little of their own identity. but nevertheless I still love them no matter what. conquer the world guys !
