I Killed The Prom Queen - Nightmares Lyrics
With wolves at your door
Would you then give a thought to the lives you have slaughtered
Marched across killing floors
Like they aren't somebody's son or daughter
They're beaten bloody and lifeless
We'll be the voice for the voiceless
And give hope to the helpless [x2]
Your body is a graveyard
And you'd soon rather forget
About the innocent
They weren't ready to be buried yet
But this is the world we're living in
We'll be the voice for the voiceless
And give hope to the helpless
How can we be so heartless
They're beaten bloody and lifeless
We'll be the voice for the voiceless
And give hope to the helpless
How can you be so fucking heartless [x2]

This band is so criminally underrated. FUCK
Jamie Hope is a good choice for the vocalist, though he was a better when he was in The Red Shore
honestly, I think Jamie sounds almost exactly like Ed. they couldn't have found a better replacement
I was skeptical when there was a new vocalist. IMHO Ed was the best, but I am pleasantly surprised by Jamie's work. I think that they are both better than Crafter for this band, as he suited Confession so much more.
I could never go vegan but I love this song and I disagree with how animals used as food are treated before they die. Their death should be quick and painless. I would never work as a butcher either. But when I eat meat, I generally thank the animal for its life before I eat it because I know it's rough for them.
"I could never go vegan" is what all vegans said before going vegan, as we all loved meat and dairy and eggs. Of course you can: it's healthier, it's cheaper, it's better for the environment and more fair towards human and animals alike. If there's anything you think is hard or want help with making the transition, feel free to ask questions :). It's good you are aware of their suffering, but thanking them for it eating their corpses -- the reason they died in the first place -- helps them as much as a bullfight spectator regretting bull fights but thanking the bull anyways. No spectators, no fights. No animal should live its life in captivity, being raped, stolen away from those he has bonds with or murdered for our own personal pleasure, no matter how "humanely" we do it.
That fucking intro!
This band is awsome, but you guys are derp ass, clown shoes, dildosaurus lookin ass niggas
This song tho!!!!! 👌😍
I have to be honest, on the past few weeks this album has really grown on me. Now I'm listening it several times a day.
My favorite song on the album!
I couldnt imagine many kids getting into this band nowa days because they kept their sound from 8 years ago. This is what the scene sounded like back then. Go listen to the band Phoenix Mourning. Shit was beast. and of course Music For The Recently Deceased.
Soo true. I started listening to IKTPQ from their album "Music For The Recently Deceased", and it makes me happy that listening to this new album, they STILL have their same sound! I love when bands just STICK to the sound they got known for. I mean, that's literally the reason why people love a band, for their SOUND.
This is the real music man, kids these days listen to absolute crap. We need albums like these to be spread to get the roots back in play.
@Jerald Ancheta They don't sound the same anymore because of various lineup changes, but it's somewhat similar.
For me a band has to either be always experimenting, or stick to a sound and just improve it. I can't stand bands that make a style, and then do a 180 (Looking at you, Trivium).
so awesome
Beloved gets better with each listen. As of now this is my favorite along with Sparrowhawk.
I've listened to it 15 times, then I found the bonus tracks! Sparrowhawk is intensely good, the polished version of memento vivere was also a great addition
@Brian Hensch I agree, no one should miss these bonus tracks!
i miss this kind of metalcore!!! melodic death metal-styled riffs, fast drumming and breakdowns!!
just the way I love it. \m/
The outro of Melior and the intro of this song fits perfectly. :D Maybe this album is overall not THAT bad.
i love pwd and respect what iktpq did for them, but this band would be so much better with a better screamer/ vocalist... Anybody can scream like this guy... i dont get it
@Dustin Dawley
@TheWeaponTheyFear777 Ok maybe not "AnyBody", my point is this band has alot of talent and would appeal to me alot more if the vocal talent matched the rest of the bands talent
His vocals are more influenced by melodic death metal and black metal. Not hardcore. I like it because so many vocalists nowadays just do the whole "I'm pissed off and am gonna yell in the mic" thing
@Michael Corr
I think what he's trying to get at is that this vocalist doesn't have much range in his gutturals; all through the entire song, it's pretty much the exact same tone. Further more, the voice is very flat sounding. It simply doesn't compare to the full body growls you generally hear in most good melodeath bands, and even the exceptionally good metalcore bands. This guy isn't bad, but he sounds very average.
If they still had Ed Butcher they would be even better
Butcher is irreplaceable...these screams are very unique unlike most bands.

Hands like houses
Listening to this while I play the Titanfall beta. Gets me so pumped.
6 years later and still fucking shit up. Favorite album by far. Loving Jamies vocals. Loving Jonahs cleans.
I really like how their sound is strongly influenced by melodic death metal.
Hearing Speed Strid on Calvert Street was a nice surprise, too! :)
Oh my fuck im sold metal is not dead as long these dudes are around
Melodic and heavy, it literally blows away, awesome track!!!
Now this I like!
Vegancore
this has to be the best track off beloved. and it almost sounds like ed is back.. :(
why would you want Ed back? Jamie all the way.
@MrPxcJake1 just preferred his way of screaming that's all
@xbleedingx @MrPxcJake1 Crafter was the shit tho, yet jamie sells justice well!
Sorry, but Ed>Jamie.
Ed = Jamie. Both > Crafter IMHO.
DERKA derrrrr
