I Killed The Prom Queen - Calvert Street Lyrics
My heart in your hands
If I had of known it would not come to this
We've grown and its not easy to let go
We fall apart my sentiment begins to distort
Dragged through the dirt after all that we've been through
Your head in your hands
You should have known
I could never meet your demands
we fell apart
My sentiment began to distort
My hollow heart it still beats for you
Dragged through the dirt after all that we've been through
This wasn't meant for us
There was never a point to be lost
In one another we're left to discover
That our paths should have never crossed
I walk alone, endlessly
In time with the sound of sympathy
I walk alone, endlessly
in time with the sound of sympathy
Fuck it I'm letting go
I'm letting go
This wasn't meant for us,
There was never a point to be lost
In one another we're left to discover
That our paths should have never crossed
I walk alone, endlessly
In time with the sound of sympathy

I Love you i killed The prom Queen
2018? i miss jona weinhofen in BRING ME THE HORIZON
IKTPQ was always better tbh.
What... listening to the album I'd thought the back up vocals were done by the singer from Killswitch Engage :D
One of the only consistently good metalcore bands nowadays
01:26 jona
OMG!! holly sh*t!!!! the cleans sounds like Björn Strid!!!! amazing!!!.... soilwork are you??
Clean vocalist's voice gave me chills. What a good voice...
It's Speed Strid of Soilwork
Great song from a great band
y björn? ese jose ya quisiera tener ese voz :p
not to be THAT COMMENT
but...
this crowd was anus, so disappoint :/
love bjorns singing
My man wearing a flyers hat👍🏼
bruh, flex game is so hard right now. and if you dont get what im talkin bout. IKTPQ aint for you pleiboi
When you find out Bjorn Strid from Soilwork did guest vocals on this song.
Makes it twenty times more fucking awesome.
Soilwork x I Killed the Prom Queen tour needs to happen.
I had the same reaction when i found out it was Bjorn... his voice makes the song have another element too it
DraculaXHunter101
I wish IKTPQ would play Dallas, Tx. Where Metal is actually appreciated
too good.
they still sounds as good as in 200s , love it ! and its not every band that keeps that sound
IKTPQ good brings me back to high school showing my buddies "euro 666". good times
check their album Music For The Recently Deceased. this ain't shit compared to 10 years ago
+andrew Hard vocals are better on beloved
+andrew Hard one of the best metalcore albums ever !
i agree but the sounds still fairly the same, i appreciate the shit outta these guys, not enough people sticking to a dope sound now a days
Suck on this, Mr. Sykes.
Sempeternal wasnt bad just different style now the new new stuff is an entire different story
@Taylor Chapman Sempiternal is too soft and "Poppy" with songs such as Can You Feel My Heart or Drown. The last acceptable album is There Is a Hell (but that was the album when they started to suck a little bit)
@Artur Szczepień Drown was actually on "That's the Spirit". Sempiternal was actually decently heavy. Even though That's the Spirit wasn't heavy, I actually enjoyed the songs for what they are. However, Amo is going off the deep end.
Yes, you're right about "Drown". That was my mistake.
@alix Completely agree! I knew upon it's release the band could not, would not maintain its deathcore direction. Just impossible with how much attention they were gaining from other tracks.
the cleans from Jona sounds pretty much like the vocal from soilwork :O
im pretty sure its ricky hoover in the recording though.
woah nice ! thx for the info dudes :)
+Ominous Blight it's because jona and kevin we're influence by old melodic death metal bands soildwork / in flames / nightrage / at the gates even the mftrd album some riffs are similar to the bands i mentioned.
that crowd is just standing there
As much as I miss Crafter and Butcher, this guy really does a great job leading, and should have from the start instead of just the guitar player. Although the cleans are shit in the song, sorry guys.
did you guys play monopoly in the Netherlands :P
When are these guys gonna make another album?
i love IKTPQ but my mom says i should try listening to softer bands because their shit goes too hard for my mom to cope with and i blast too loud lol
It would've been sick if Bjorn could have come out to the show and sang with them.
Jamie was better in The Red Shore, but this shit still fucking kills.
Metalcore Game: Jona Weinhofen
CastleWeinhofen
They put on one hell of a show. Their concerts are certainly wild
you guys really need to stop mixing Jamies voice so far into the background.
I remember meeting a few of the members of IKTPQ around ten years ago at a pun in newtown, they were having a great time and nice as....of course they were telling anyone that would listen that they are in the band, lol, good times!
They're really nice guys. My friend and I just asked for a random photo op before they played in St. Pete and they were more than happy to get a picture.
So sad that they aren't playing my date for the Issues tour -_-
NOW THIS... This is what Metalcore should sound like in my opinion ... Heavy fast aggressive and groovy riffs and cleans that actually sound like a fucking dude.
Eddie Lopez exactly my man
that's how you do clean vocals not like a high pitched little bitch.
+James Ryan But, Jona can make the same cleans in live shows! Search for this song in live that you'll see
Even if he can sing it, doesn't mean that he will sound as good as Bjorn :V
The cleans are great you guys are fucking crazy. It's even better that it's Bjorn
Those cleans ruined the song
":V" Retarded
Шикардос
that does not sound healthy
I am a huge fan of Metalcore since 2 years, Parkway Drive, Trivium, BFMV, BMTH - loved them. But why the fock I didn't know this band?!?!
They were on hiatus the last three years. They just got back together this year and released this album. Their old stuff, in my opinion, wasn't too great but this album is just so on point lol.
Because they are aussie and no one gives a shit about aussie bands apart from us.
Some of us foreigners like them. I've been digging them since Crafter's days and I'm Murrican.
@Tysen Kinniburgh yeah haha my top Austin bands are Parkway Drive, The Amity Affliction, In Hearts Wake, and I Killed The Prom Queen. Austin metal kills in my opinion.
My favorite song of the year right here!
What a lovely video to stumble across :)
screams are very weak, if this band wants a bright future, they need more as far as screams go
(sarcasm)
Alex Martini nah
The amount of views this has is sickening. It needs so much more.
Problem is, IKTPQ is seen as a relic of the past.
Godfathers of Australian Metalcore
And Parkway is the Godson's.
Laughs in Parkway Drive
Fucking good
I love Jamie Hopes Deathcore influence from the Red Shore. Love Prom Queen
Same here!.
I'm literally loving the clean vocals so much, who is it? Any more songs with that in it?
Bjorn 'Speed' Strid from Soilwork
100 comentários pra essa musica <3
Well, this is what happens when Parkway Drive has sex with Bury Tommorow, sounds great guys! :-)
Now, this is a band for Jona. He fits
Bands like I Killed the Prom Queen help me have faith in the future of metalcore =)
That was amazing...I think I need to get those EPs :D
also check out unearth and killswitch engage ;)
Already have albums of both :P
@RPGfreakBattlefield
check out the soulless if you haven't already!
it sounds like a mix of melodic death metal and metalcore to me, its sick
fuck prom queen are good, still got it
@HeyYoFabels that can be difficult for marketing, advertising and re-branding costs a lot of money and time
I grilled the prawn queen
That was great. 👍
Aha because they're Australian. I see what you did there
Daniel Tinker shame the majority are veg or vegan
So fucking sweet
I particularly enjoy the cleans. They're pretty unique and a nice breakup.
Can't wait to see them in two weeks cx
Loved it
They only have ONE original member, change the damn name
Zanman Still got the sound though.
Jona looks like Cancer Bats bassist!
Guys u will always be brutal ! :)
cool song, dudes! respect! \m/
se tornate a Roma torno a vedervi!
awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pussy crowd
when are you guys coming to Sweden? :S
Wow Jona, you do a very good impression of Bjorn Strid!
i was think exactly the same! his cleans really sounds like soilwork
No, Bjorn did actually guest feature on this song, I was just joking :)
@Al My Pal hahah oke makes sense then !
its because he is an homosexuelle.
@Nuaex Wait, Jona is a homosexual? Then I guess that means I have a shot with him! ;D
Awesome instrumental, but I gotta say I'm not a very big fan of Jaimie's voice.. He's good, but I think they could do so much better with a more versatile vocalist. Anyway, love this song ^_^
it was so rad seeing this live!
new song in new album, loved it
My favorite song for this album.
in case anyone was confused bjorn speed strid does the clean vocals on this track jona just sings them live
LOVE IT !
The best song to play drum of the album beloved.
THEY NEEDED SPEED STRID IN THE VID CMON
I know them since Beloved but they're already one of my favorite bands
Sleepless Nights and City Lights live album didn't fail to impress either
@Skeptisis nothing beats them from When goodbye means forever
@The Vegan Bear ANOTHER RUMOR IS STARTED
@Butter Johnson hell yeah
I recommend you listen to Music for the recently deceased
