I went to that show! It was so small but seriously one of my favorite concerts.

Hurt is like taking the emotion of Slipknot's Vermilion, adding the sound of Tool, but less prog, and being way less well-known than either band.

This is seriously the best way to describe this band. Fucking love their music

Hey, if anybody has never heard it, HURTs album Besides & Footnotes contains a really really good song demo titled Hospital Scene (Demo) I did get that album, but there appears to only be ONE video on YouTube for it, and basically no one has seen it after all this time.

I think that in Rapture, it discusses how J Loren and his girfriend eloped after she got pregnant. They thought about abortion, but she was religious so she couldn't do that. Then, out of a moment of fear, desperation and delusion, she murdered her child.
Next, in Summer's Lost, J Loren tries to convince her to stay with them and that they can get through the pain together, but by the end of the song, she has left him to give herself to jesus.
This starts up House Carpenter, where J Loren discusses her being married to a "house carpenter" who is Jesus, because she now exists only for god. Eventually, she dies and is buried with the House Carpenter.
Aftermath describes him missing her.

Not quite. I'm pretty sure House Carpenter is about his mother.

Rapture is not based on anything directly personal to J Loren. He wrote the song inspired by a story he heard about a woman strangling her baby for religious reasons.

shame you don't find the band enjoyable but to each their own.
What an even bigger shame is the replies directed towards you by, one can only assume, infants whose moms let south park raise them. What a sad, pathetic lot they are.

If you're going to use the correct "you're", why not spell it out, when you're already going through the trouble of adding an apostrophe? The foresight was good, but the execution was abysmal, sadly. Other than that, you're claim is reasonable, if not slightly cliche. Of course, the comment is old, so forgive me for being a stickler, it just bothered me so much.
