Hurt - Aftermath Lyrics
Somebody take me away from the darkness
Somebody take this from me
If anyone's out there
If anyone hears me
Somebody take this from me
I was beginning to think I had lost my mind
Fell upon it hard and fell upon my hardest times
But the way she lit the room at night
Cast the shadows to their gloom and I
Still dream of your perfume
I would do anything to be with you
Edelweiss... angel why... comfort me
From so far away
Angel white... dream of mine... come for me
Angel eyes... sweet love of mine... come back to me
Though so far away
Please don't cry
There's still time
I won't change
So far away
Please don't cry
I won't...

And I still dream of your perfume, I would do anything to be with you.
I like how the song ends abruptly i think it tells alot about what he is going through, he screama for help and then silence it reminds me of the life of a suicide victim, you scream for help but its not good enough and then you end your life. Maybe thats just me
This is one of the best rock albums of the 2000s decade its a shame most people have no clue about it or even this band itself. Its just one of the most beautiful and original sounding albums ive ever heard. Its like a combination of the bands Live and Tool with some great string arrangements and backing vocals throughout.
IMO Goodbye to the Machine is their best album (2009). I feel like Goodbye to the Machine is much more cohesive with songs such as Pills, Well, and Fighing Tao. A lot of the songs seems to be inspired off J. Loren's experience with being with the major label (Capitol, which dropped the band after Vol. 2).
