Howlin' Wolf - Work For Your Money Lyrics

Get your hands on your money
Mine all while you're gone
Get your hands on your money
Mine all while you're gone

I'm gonna leave this town and I
Ain't comin' back no more

Well, my momma, she don't love me
Daddy don't love me, no more
Well, my momma don't love me
Daddy don't love me, no more

I might leave ya babe
I'm going down on the coast

Blow...

Well, good bye baby
If I don't see you, no more
Well good bye baby
If I never see you, no more

I want to love you baby
But you keep driving me from your door

Recorded in Memphis, unk. date in 1953. Guitar player was Willie Johnson; Sumlin did not play with Wolf until he came to Chicago in 1954. Wolf's first Chess Studio recording session in March 1954 lists a guitarist of Lee Cooper. The session on May 25, 1954 was his first with Hubert Sumlin and it was a match made in heaven.
