There's this little piece of anedoctal evidence I found with Howlin' Wolf and a handful of other songs from legendary musicians, e.g. Michael Jackson - Beat It. There is virtually no limit to the volume you can turn up on these tracks. Where the vast majority of pieces turno into an indistinguishable puddle of muddy, distorted sounds, these productions remain pristine.

And the king of these majestic tracks is Spoonful by Howlin' Wolf. The Wolf turns into a hurricane, sweeping anyone and everyone on its way. I have seen people being unmoved by boombusting rave music, yet BLAST into excitement under the Wolf's charms. Those who say that he is a force of nature are not mistaken.

It's as if Spoonful was literally MADE for you to tear down the house with.

Listening to this makes me want a couple of spoonfuls of beer.
