Howard, Ben - Heave Ho Lyrics
Way up there
They think they found
A world for us
To settle down
And I know now
Pick my feet
Up from the ground
The hills have rolled into the clouds
And callous faces
Line the alleyways
Where I long for you
It is no revolution, see
It always has been you and me
Trying to find common ground
And she sings to me
When I'm around
If you can't love this sound goes away
Way up there
They think they found
A world for us
To settle down
And I know now
We failed somehow
Pick my feet
Up from the ground
The hills have rolled into the clouds
And callous faces
Line the alleyways
Where I long for you
([?] to you)
It is no revolution, see
It always has been you and me
And a guide I've been followed
Trying to find common ground
And she sings to me
When I'm around
If you can't love this sound goes away
If you can't love this sound goes away

Howard, Ben Heave Ho Comments
BTW, Ben if you ever need a talk with a person who would sincerly understand and listen to you. here i am.
Correct me if im wrong.
I too as a musician can only make certain music at a certain period of time due to the nature of feelings.
thus it is extremely hard to recall certain music because the feeling has fled.
and if you'd even try to be so good at the same piece again it would fail at any given moment.
I guees that Ben himself is not evolving nor going back in time.
he has new feelings that he has to give music to.
and this for me is the hardest part of being an emotional musician.
because you might never feel that piece of music again.
Is it just me or does it for some reason sound like the bass is a few cents higher than normal.
DEMAIS!
it's like a God sent on the earth His angel)) your songs with me everywhere, in any mood! 💕 Please, keep going!

wtf is wrong with the like dislike ratio .. you bloody bastards
I love Ben Howard but this song suuuuuuux
I am aware now how everything's gonna be fine, one day too late, just as well....
Oh Mary Sue!
Me encanta
Need to hear more such tunes from you and the band!!
My girlfriend broke up with my after 6 years. I'm 30 now feeling completely random and messed up. However, this controlled mess of atmospheric sounds and Ben's lyrics sort my emotions. While Ben wants to be lifted up these lyrics ground me. They are the calm within the storm inside of me. You will never read this Ben, but anyway: thank you for your music. It helps people.
That’s a long time dating without getting married homie, the cuts are deep and good music eases the pain.
Keep doing you, man and keep your head up. Love from Philadelphia.
Give the Midnight Organ Fight by Frightened Rabbit a spin. Classic breakup album goes through all the emotions. Then if/when youre done with that stage move on to the Winter of Mixed Drinks :)
It was probably recorded in the same era as the album was. It has similar tones, either way he probably just decided to let this one go a little later to trickle his music into the abyss.
Yeah people say new album is coming but I doubt that
I feel bad for Ben as he has lost a grand majority of his followers.
don't feel bad, he couldn't care less
Willing to wager hes gained a good bit, too. Noonday Dream made me a fan and I doubt I'm alone.
I thought this mans dead lol
Can't wait for the album. Love you, Ben.
When is the album coming out?
Keep doing you Ben, sounds amazing
i like it
It's amazing to watch Ben grow as an artist. Yet, somehow he is still able to reflect how I'm feeling deep within. This song settles down into ones bones and feeds the deep Waters of your aching soul. It's a salve and simply breathtaking. Well done Ben ❣️✨🔥✨
I can't wait to see you live someday 💕
This poor guy has gone downhill after his first album and EP. Saw him at the Fox Theater a few months back. One of the few concerts I wish I had a refund for.
What makes you say that?
@Edward Porter a lot of his fans started listening because of his every kingdom style and expect him to maintain it a decade later, I feel sorry for them. It's the fans like me and a few others that genuinely enjoy the journey and evolution of bens music, it just seems to get better and better each time without diminishing the previous music which I find is a rare gift.
@A thistle amongst I find it super interesting to basically watch a boy turn into a man, we get to see him grow as a person not just a musician. He's clearly had a change in how he sees things in the last few years, the new music is a denser listen of course, it's a lot heavier and frankly a lot more mature. It's like we're hearing a mind, compared to how his older music (while still great) was just that, we're hearing music. The two styles arent really comparable and it's a bold and respectable move to make yourself as vulnerable as he did by a completely turning his style on its head.
Adam Greco dude imagine making the same sounding songs for 7 years straight
He is on a roll ladies and gents!
Ben is a mastermind of lyrics and instrumentation while the rest of the band is playing at the same genius level. I love how psychedelic the latest album is and this new track. They can do no wrong. Noonday dream tour at Red Rocks was Epic. 6th row center was pure bliss.
I was at that show, too! One of the best concerts I’ve seen in my life.
Totally agree! Love the new sound. Makes "Keep Your Head Up" seem almost popish. I was at Red Rocks too.
Love Ben, really love his latest album. I think Ben is discovering new worlds with his latest music and this song is no exception. Seeing him live is so transcendent.
There's been a distinct change in his music. He seems sad and fed up (going on this track and the latest album). I'm not saying it isn't good, just different. It's a little sad to hear, like when someone lets out a really mournful sigh.
Clive Martin that was more his second album. I think his third is more about reflection
Clive Martin his second album had so much heartbreak and depression and despair. Noonday dream was more calm and content.
This song is beautiful 😵 (first comment!)
