I've learned to dab a generous amount on teeth cavities and that seems to harden the surrounding teeth [nice bonus] ... the silica in DE must have gotten to them too. Yes, am starting to use ground egg shell and dabbing it along with DE on the cavities too. Hopefully, the cavities will vanish in time.

Hahaha . .. it will take many, many months of patient work. Meaningful results won't be known until March or April of 2020. Anyway, the sensitivity and many annoyances I have had with the wisdom tooth is practically gone with the use of DE. I There's a small gap between it and the next tooth and it would give me a lot of nerve trouble and even the dentist said he couldn't do a thing about it. The molar in the lower jaw has a big cavity and it was screaming for a dental visit but following my attempt to keep it clean and dabbing with DE, I was surprised to find that the acute nerve sensitivity/pain is also practically gone. In addition to using DE [once a day], I bought a few bottles of "Live Well OsteoCal Plus" [contains calcium, magnesium, vit d, boron, copper and manganese] - I down two a day and pulverize one into powder which I also use to dab on the problem teeth, over the cavities that is. Daily regimen is DE in the morning and OsteoCal Plus in the evening. I'll report back if anything dramatic happens, otherwise it will have to be next March.

What you call voodoo science is naturopathy and is the true way to help people take a holistic approach to fix the cause. The tooth is alive and regenerative to a certain extent. The enamel, dentin, and everything in our body is made of amino acids, minerals and vitamins. The deficiency of any of those will cause decay. Flouride certainly is not a essential mineral for any of those processes. Mouth wash has nothing essential in it either. Those things should be used only in a worst case scenario.

I had a cavity and my dentist said despite me brushing regularly, my tooth was deformed and so my brush couldn’t reach that spot. Got it filled, and now I noticed a small hole in my tooth on the bottom, so idk if it’s a cavity bc it doesn’t seem deep and doesn’t cause pain. I feel like I’ve had it since I got my cavity filled. I just really hate how I brush my teeth regularly, twice a day. And still manage to get cavities! I guess it’s from all the sweet tea I drink but I didn’t think that was acidic. @voltixD  Just a gut feeling or intuition. I had a bottle of DE left in cupboard unused. I just pulled it out and started using it. It would be good if one can mix it with a gel-like substance so that it can fill up the cavities in a neat way. The powdery DE is not easy to apply and is rather messy.

Re the gel - Let me know if you come across any worthy candidate! I learned that the best calcium, best meaning closest to teeth enamel, is egg shell calcium (I believe this input came from Dr Axe or Dr Mercola but am not sure who exactly though). One of the teeth cavities had become very sensitive and when I started to apply DE, I soon noticed that this sensation became imperceptible and the dull pain was also gone. I've only done this for less than 2 weeks so far and I'm hopeful it will eventually bring further benefits. One thing I can vouch for is that when brushing the teeth daily, I could feel the burgeoning sensation of toughness and strength of the teeth generally - an incredible feeling! I theorized that the DE and egg shell calcium have somehow, via the saliva, traveled to other parts of the mouth and affected other teeth too [ remineralized them?] . Yes, I do put DE on my toothpaste and it really helps to give the teeth a good scrub, but I don't do it every day. Once or twice a week is OK but too often may not be good for the enamel. But I have read a report of a lady who did it every day for a period of time. She must have been preparing for a dental visit for on the next dental visit, the dentist was stumped for she could not find any plaque or tartar or whatever and so no treatment was needed. She ended up asking her for the secret of her perfectly-kept dental condition. OK, the cat is now out of the bag! Where I am, I can buy a toothpaste that contains lemon ext. and baking soda in its formulation which is just as good but again it should be used once or twice a week at the most. The lemon ext. helps to whiten the teeth.

Plus most toothpaste on the market contain fluoride you've got to find alternative methods or homemade. I heard someone brushing their teeth with sea water and had great teeth. Something about iodine helping the teeth. Lemon toothpaste. Sounds tasty 😋

If you want an inexpensive FLUORIDE-FREE toothpaste, head to the children/maternity section of a super/hyper market and you'll be able to get it there. I think fluoride's prohibited there. if your cavity is black it is arrested. keep brushing your teeth and avoid shit food that feeds bad bacteria. eat more cheese and take vitamin D. I'd still go to the dentist just for a check up soon, don't be too optimistic
