Hot Water Music - Moonpies For Misfits Lyrics

We're still alive, he said
We met eleven years before or more
And I remember way back when
He taught me my first bar chord
We used to tear it up reckless
Moonpies for misfits with no cares
You got that right I said

We're still here
Scarred but here
But then again
We were invincible then

We're still here
Just not like then
Without a care
And full of hate

When we smashed for laughs
And to prove to all fuckers we would
Quit school, stuck ink
And called the working man and the men who worked fools
To hit bottom and to crash
We thought the last sight of us was the last sign of us
We thought wrong 'cause face to face here we stand strong
But this time we stand for good

this song is so real, the story chuck tells is so relatable to myself and most of my friends...growing up in the pre-internet days; where you spent afternoons and evenings after school breaking things, skateboarding, and causing ruckus around the neighborhood. quitting college early, playing in bands and playing out, joining the working force and realizing you and your friends made it through growing up with all these experiences that other's might not have had.

    thank you HWM.
