This one is so much stronger and more emotional to me, the line about "you left six of us to fend for ourselves."

I've grown to appreciate performances like this for the raw energy. They can perform this same song today and it will be just lyrics.

Hootie and the Blowfish's, Cracked Rear View, is timeless music. These songs were new then. He sounds just like the album. So many great song on one album. Amazing.

I lost my mother a few years ago and someone asked me how long does it take until the pain goes away and my answer was when I get there I will call you.

Such an amazingly underrated song... Oh, how I miss this band.

This was one of my absolute favorite albums in high school, and before I turned 30 I had lost both of my parents within a year of each other. Reconnecting to this album really hit home for me what he was going through at that time in his life. I still play this song every year on the day my mom passed away.

Darius's loss of his mother deeply affected him. The raw emotion is all over this record and especially this song.
