As much as I think Peter is a great singer, I have to say the choice of background effects/beat/singing takes away from his greatest strength.

I don't think anyone is here in the comments to say that Peter isn't a great singer, but I feel that his covers could be that much better if the vocal style matches the song. This is 99% directed at the background sounds. If the song has a more "pop" sound, then more energetic effects would go well with that. However with a song like this, the original song sounded so great because it was bold and regal. What I hear in this video is just a really great lead vocal with distracting beats taken from a hip hop song. Take a look at his cover of the Civilization VI theme. THAT was stunningly beautiful. I sort of clicked this video with the expectation of hearing that kind of style for a more classic song like this. Basically, the more iconic the song is, the less I enjoy hearing people play around with it too much. It's fine to have a personal style, but don't embellish it to the point where it clashes with the original style. If you are going to do something entirely different, then do a Jonathan Young method where you do a metal cover, but if you are going the a capella route, play the safer route. I feel that his stronger videos/songs are the ones that match the original songs style mote closely.

Very nice cover, of the song, I'm not a big fan of Disney, but every once in a while I'll hear one that sticks with me, and this is one of them, along with the songs come by Phil Collins in the Tarzan movie...
