Hoge, Will - The Times They Are A-Changin' Lyrics

Come gather 'round people wherever you roam
And admit that the waters around you have grown
And accept it that soon you'll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin' or you'll sink like a stone
For the times, they are a-changin'

Come writers and critics who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide, the chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon for the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who that it's namin'
For the loser now will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'

Come senators, congressmen, please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway, don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside and it is ragin'
It'll soon shake your windows and rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'

Come mothers and fathers throughout the land
And don't criticize what you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'

The line it is drawn, the curse it is cast
The slow one now will later be fast
As the present now will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin'
And the first one now will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'

Mouth peanut friend 26-12-2019: color economic circle, political lyse, because in the past the existence of the opposition is only formal, and did not really play its due role in politics and economic, so that Hong Kong has the emergence of the great white elephant economy, to make public housing infrastructure year after year not up to standard and was said to be groundless, while the railway sand line has become a tofu slag big white elephant project, overspend hundreds of billions; It is strange that if the hundreds of billions of oversspent of the Sand Line were allocated to the construction of public housing , there would be no land to build public housing , and there would be over-standard public housing , and by then everyone would have housing , and there would be no riot today . The civil promotion of the "yellow economic circle" is only a private re-establishment of a strong political and economic opposition (in Hong Kong rich / business, called strength); The biggest difference between Hong Kong people and Macao people is that in the past 10 years, the Hong Kong government has sent $88,000 less to Hong Kong people, and the back and forth is $17,6000; The Communist Party divided the money unevenly there is the danger of destroying the party, just as a craftsman lost his craft, the painter lost his hands, the football player lost his feet, play finished!

So the The Times- They Are A Changing, there's a Watchtower, Most of the Time, Time Out of Mind, Long Time Gone, No Time to Think, Time Passes Slowly, Pledging My Time, Born in Time, In My Time of Dying, Tomorrow Is Such A Long Time, Its Hell Time Man; but you just kinda wasted my precious time- just like the time before and the time before that but we’ll meet another day, another time. If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime! The truth is far from you, so you know you got to lie, then you’re all the time defending what you can never justify. Oh a false clock tries to tick out my time. One more time at midnight, near the wall- the train leaves at half past ten- but it’ll be back tomorrow, same time again- then time will tell just who fell, and who’s been left behind. Once upon a time you dressed so fine, you threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn’t you? Well, he hands you a nickel, he hands you a dime, he asks you with a grin, if you’re havin’ a good time- then he fines you every time you slam the door. And every time I pass that way I always hear my name, sometimes I turn, there’s someone there, other times it’s only me. Well, by this time I was fed up at tryin’ to make a stab at bringin’ back any help. But the time ain’t tall, yet on time you depend- you’re like a time bomb in my heart. It all seems so well timed, an’ here I sit so patiently! But you love more than ever, more than time and more than love? How does one love more than love Bob? You and time have a thing for each other, admit it.

But you were thinking about spending some time in Mozambique? She spends her time peeking into desolation row. It’s the last temptation, the last account, the last time you might hear the sermon on the mount. But my nerves were kickin’, tickin’ like a clock- she wrote one time'n sent her love. I’ll see you later when I’m not so out of my head, maybe next time I’ll let the dead bury the dead. You’re a living dream, and every time you get this close, it makes me want to scream. Lost time is not found again, but how can you say he will haunt you? You can go back to him any time you want to! And the only time when he's satisfied is when he's on a drunk. But I paid my time and now I'm as good as new- I wish that for just one time, you could stand inside my shoes. Well, I’ve spent my time with the fortune-telling kind, following them fairgrounds a-calling- I have tried my hand at bribery, blackmail and deceit, and I’ve served time for ev’rything ’cept beggin’ on the street. You say you’re lookin' for someone, who’ll pick you up each time you fall, to gather flowers constantly an’ to come each time you call?

You cursed her one time then you rode on ahead! You went to church on Sunday and she passed by- your love for her is taking such a long time to die. I think this time you shall escape! Trapped by no track of hours for they hanged suspended- as we listened one last time an’ we watched with one last look, you give me something to think about, baby, every time I see ya. And the world’s on its side, and time is running backwards, and so is the bride. There’s a marchin’ band still playin’ in that vacant lot, here she held me in her arms one time and said, “Forget me not!” You finally had to give her up ’bout the time she began to want you. Her passport shows a face, from another time and place, she looks nothin like that. An’ now people just get uglier, an’ we have no sense of time. She ain’t a-feelin’ well, when she’s better only time will tell. Well, ask me why I’m drunk alla time, it levels my head and eases my mind. God knows it’s a struggle, God knows it’s a crime, God knows there’s gonna be no more water- but fire next time. I’ll pluck off your beard and blow it in your face, this time tomorrow I’ll be rolling in your place. Well we’re livin’ in the shadows of a fading past, trapped in the fires of time- and if I should die before my time should come, won't you bury my body out on the Highway 51?

Who will judge the many when the game is through? Ring them bells, for the time that flies! Time is a jet plane, it moves too fast, oh, but what a shame if all we’ve shared can’t last. But roses are red, violets are blue- and time is beginning to crawl. Running out the clock, time standing still- neighborhood bully! That I might be gone a long time, and it’s only that I’m askin: is there something I can send you to remember me by to make your time more easy passin? Well, your clock is gonna stop at Saint Peter’s gate- ya gonna ask him what time it is, he’s gonna say, “It’s too late”! One more time, I'm walking up on heartbreak hill. And there’s no time to say a fare-thee-well- have you decided whether you want to be in heaven or in hell? Shadows are falling and I’ve been here all day, it’s too hot to sleep, time is running away. If dogs run free, why not me across the swamp of time? Oh, the hours I’ve spent inside the coliseum dodging lions and wastin’ time! I was ready to leave, I was already walkin’, but the next time I looked there was light in the room. Yes, I believe it’s time for us to quit, with the cost of livin, and the price of dyin'- well it look like t'me this time I wont be buyin'. And when I'm called up yonder and it's my time to go- give my blankets to my buddies, give the fleas to Diamond Joe! Only a matter of time ’til night comes steppin’ in. When it's time to go you got an open door.

    - So that is at least 174 songs with "time" in it, 28 with "watch" but only one of those with an actual timekeeping watch and 11 songs with a clock- so you have a lot of time on your hands but you weren't looking at the clock the entire time...
    - 19 songs for "midnight" though Jesus apparently said “Be ready, for you know not the hour in which I come.” Now at midnight all the agents and the superhuman crew, come out and round up everyone that knows more than they do. Well, it’s way past midnight and there are people all around some on their way up, some on their way down, and...
    - 19 songs with trees in them, though there is at least one pine box too: By this time I’d-a thought you would be sleeping in a pine box for all eternity!

See, and I thought you hated nature Bob unless it had rain and wind or hurricanes and exploding volcanoes involved, but having that many songs with trees in them proves that you doesn't just look at walls and patio furniture and the back seats of cars. Or perhaps that means that midnight- which may be important to me and God personally- isn't actually all that prevalent in the work, while time in general is thought of time and time again. Meanwhile there is only one song with a volcano in it, and three with hurricanes- not many, however there are 47 with "rain" in the title and/or lyics meaning yes, you probably do really have a thing for rain Bob as well as wind with 51 songs, but there are actually 87 songs with "sun" in it- so its not all gloom and doom. This is why keeping an actual statistical count is important instead of just focusing on feelings about it. Who knew there were that many sunbreaks in the clouds? And a couple trees in the yard that weren't cut down? And a river closeby with 47 songs about them? But very few birds at 17 songs and fish are even fewer in number at 8. So though there's sun, rain and water- there still isn't much life comparatively to say- time itself- is this correct Bob? Kind of a sterilized atmosphere where you might need a plug in air filter for but such modern conveniences weren't worth putting into even one song- so there's only so much analysis we can do of your ecosystem and preferred habitat.

So turn off your mind and go back to sleep
For the times they ain't a-changing

Come gather round fools, wherever you roam
And admit the lies around you have grown
And accept it that soon you'll be picked to the bone
If your life to you is worth saving
Then you better start fighting, the ones on the throne
For the times they ain't a changing

Come writers and critics who speak with your pen
Your eyes are all shut, its the same shit again
So you all speak at once, in cacophonous din
There's no telling what people are saying
For the losers now will lose again
For the times they ain't a changing

Run Congressman and Senator flee frokm our calls,
Keep your offices shut, close your mind to us all
The money you take is destroying our land
The is no measure for your corruption
For the people you harm will be harmed again
For the times they ain't a changing.

Newspapers lie, and tv is worse
The same lies are told almost verse for verse
You pretend we believe you and do it again
And our anger is rapidly raging
We know it just crap that drips from your pens
