Australian bands finesse their style touring rural/regional and remote Australia. The punters in rural/regional and remote Australia have high standards - early AC DC is the the sound of schooner glasses smashing in a bush pub. 4. Distance. Landscape. They do things. 5. Australians love to party. Y' can't party without good sounds :) It all adds up - Luca Brasi, Gang of Youths, King Parrot, Hockey Dad, The Chats, King Gizzard, DMA's, Dead Kellys, Parkway Drive ... Cosmic Psychos still grinding out tractor rock after 30 years despite the loss of Robbie Watt who remains a massive influence on Aussie guitarists (the riffs in Back At School and Dead Roo ... no words).

For something different check out the late, great Gurrumul. His album Djarimirri, was #1 on the Aussie charts for 8 weeks earlier this year. Wherever you go in Oz you hear Gurrumul.
