Hi Lisa! I hope that since you wrote this that things have gotten better or at the very least is on the way towards getting better. About 16 years ago, my last remaining grandparent died from old age and it was my mother’s father and practically a month later my Mom passed away. The whole process of clearing her stuff out and figuring out who would be the executor while getting the estate stuff done was rough for my family but what I wanted to say is just take things day by day. Emotions came through like a rollercoaster but like life, there will be twists and turns that you won’t expect. The saying that time heals all wounds I feel is a bunch of BS, as the days turn into months and eventually years the hurt will keep hurting less and the wound closes up but you still see a scar that in turn will get better with time. If your own immediate family is being bonkers, I hope extended family or friends are there for you no matter what you’re feeling 💜

Why did she have to "country up" this song? Why did she feel the need to? The original version on the CD (from which they use the exact same vocal track here) is incredible! I can't speak on a lose of a husband but I cry at this song ever time I here it. My husband is a marine and won't get out of the job of infantry. It's been 8 years reenlisting for more.
